Rangers owed Lloyds £18m?

At that point in time, when Rangers had Jelavic, Davis, Naismith, Lafferty, McGregor, Whittaker, Edu, do you think that selling those players would've covered Rangers debt to Lloyds?

Whyte comes in and mortgages 4yrs of tickets for £18m, he then runs up a £10m PAYE/NI bill.

This tax debt had been run up since August 2011 and stood at £9m in December?

Could Rangers have paid this debt off by selling any or all of the players above?

 

December/January? Unless the non-payment of PAYE and NI occurred purely in February?
