This is exactly what they said when we beat them 1-0 in the cup and it now seems to be a common attitude amongst some. It's a defence mechanism.

"Only a goal in it, Rangers hit the woodwork too so it could have been 2-2" according to Big DJ on Snyde last night, even Hugh Keevins seemed too exasperated to tell him he was viewing the world through blue-hued spectacles.

The fact is, once Celtic got over the initial shock of impact (which is the very least one would expect from A Rangers side who needed a win desperately) once Celtic realised this Rangers side were going to try and press high the gig was up, Celtic simply changed formation and took total command of the game, we missed at least 4 sitters before Miller hit the post, just as well for us or the true refelction of this game would have been underlined to the point that even the most dense Hun in existence could not ignore it.

Even when they scored I still felt comfortable we would win, I doubt in hindsight there can be many Rangers fans who thought they were going to triumph once we equalised. If they really want to believe the only difference in the two teams was Dembele and Sinclair (who according to some, cost us megabucks) then let them, it'll take more than 2 new Joe Garner-sized purchases to get them anywhere near close to where we are just now.

Happy New Year all.

Rangers could have given Celtic 'doing' claims Barrie McKay
McKay believes Mark Warburton’s men - who took the lead through Kenny Miller before Moussa Dembele and Scott Sinclair netted for the visitors - could even have reversed the 5-1 hammering at Parkhead from earlier in the season if they’d taken their chances.

Asked about the gulf the winger – who impressed for Gers despite the defeat – said “I don’t think it is as big as people make out. If we took our chances we could have given them a doing. “They took their chances in the last league game and obviously scored five. If we had taken our chances this time and kept them at bay we could have done the same to them.”

He also thinks the gap is not as big as people think and the league table is not a fair reflection <laugh>

Audrey, you're still pished fae New Year, I posted this 2 comments above <laugh>

Saw that hun roaster Jonny McFarter at the Record saying the only difference between the two teams is that Celtic got to spend 'serious money' on Sinclair and Dembele <laugh>

Utterly mental, especially given that Joey Gardener is worth 3.5 Dembeles <laugh>

And why the **** did I wait so long to start reading Rangers Media? ****ing raging with myself!

It is a veritable goldmine of hilarity. I'm talking off the chart insanity <laugh> I haven't laughed so much since some **** told me Stephen Hawking was the most intelligent person on earth.

This country is ****ed. The only good thing about it is the Rangers, and even that is diminishing in stature due to how we are being run.

I despair for my kids and see no light at the end of the tunnel for them. Hope they live elsewhere when older.

When we can't even unite as a fans group, let alone as a cultural movement, what chance?

I despair.

I've heard plenty stories about a public service employee who only hires people who went to an RC school.

Same woman also refused to have a blue carpet in her room.

I'm sure it happens on both sides, but i think (i dont have any proof) that i've missed out on jobs because of the school i went to.

<laugh><applause>

Classic Hun logic: I've got no proof, but I heard somewhere this happened so it must be true, plus I also think mysterious and nefarious Catholic forces are out to stop me from getting the job I want.

****ing roasters, the lot of them <laugh>
