Post From The Heart

The Last Remnants of the old guard are almost all gone. What now for Rangers?

It's sad to think of Rangers terminating the jobs of long serving staff like Mary 'Tiny' Gallacher ,Laura Tarbet , Jimmy Sinclair,David Roxburgh (groundsman of over 27years) Andrew Dickson (long serving media-man) and a few others whom i haven't met. People like 'Tiny' have been there half a century and her mother before her, these people are the lifeblood of our club and to see them now being discarded in such a manner is heartbreaking. Laura Tarbet is an institution in herself at Rangers!! For me it affects our continuity, simply another part of our clubs traditions removed. Is it any wonder Ally McCoist felt the need to hand in his notice this week when he sees his Assistant being sacked after half a century at Ibrox? I am proud of Ally for his stance but it doesn't surprise me as Ally has always been a gentleman and a scholar in that regard.

I always remember the 2nd time i went on the Rangers tour at Ibrox (the 1st time John Greig took me round the tour) and i met this rare and amazing club servant called Tiny Gallacher . When we got to the trophy room she showed me her UEFA plaque on the wall for her record of service which is unparalleled anywhere else in football. I remember as she took me round the tour the little things she pointed out to me that i hadn't learned on the first tour i had went on. She showed me radiators that were made for the club by shipbuilders on the Clyde and other small details that may seem insignificant to many but to me it showed the depth of history at a club like Rangers and to listen to her tales was an absolute pleasure. To learn this week that the staff let go by the Club include people like Tiny,Laura ,David and Andrew, was so sad because these people are the LAST remnants of all that is good about Rangers! Take away the Ally McCoists,Tiny Gallachers,Laura Tarbetts and Jimmy Sinclairs then who is left from the Rangers we once knew??

Once Ally goes then that will be the final piece of continuity gone, there are now very little if ANY people left within the corridors of Ibrox who are there from yesteryear. These staff were the glue that binds pre admin Rangers to post Admin Rangers and to let them go is a huge mistake. Don't give me this cost cutting tripe, not when Graham Wallace walks out the door with 100% bonus, healthy severance and an OBSCENE silence payment!

The Club feels like it is being sterilized of all tradition, character and history. Make no mistake people like Tiny Gallacher and Laura Tarbet ARE our history. In Tiny and Laura there is a living breathing remnant of our Clubs most glorious days and i'd argue that having staff like Tiny within the corridors of Ibrox is every bit as important as the history and trophies within our trophy room? When we rid our club of people like Tiny,Laura and Jimmy then we are putting a few pounds sterling over our rich history. What price for our traditions? Not much apparently because lets be honest, people like Tiny and Laura aren't on the biggest wages. In fact ,the £100,000 silence pay off Graham Wallace received aswell as his 100% bonus on top of his severance package ,that would have been enough to pay for several Tiny Gallachers and then some!!!! No wonder Ally felt his hand has been forced here. Ally is a man of principles (despite what any of our "fans" say!) and he couldn't stand back and not show some solidarity with staff that have been at the club since he was a player and i would suggest Ally McCoist was possibly the last person at our club who even cares about issues like this our history and tradition? Who else is left to carry the torch?

Everyone else at the club is clearly on the take, chasing pound signs while our rich tapestry of tradition is discarded in such a brutal manner. I've always said fans should be careful what they wish for in wanting to see the demise of Ally McCoist because from my point of view he was the last man standing from the REAL Rangers. The Rangers before all these chancers came along. Make no mistake, theres very little of the old Rangers left. In fact once Ally leaves then WHO represents the Rangers we all have grown up with, know and love? Can Ally McCoist, Tiny Gallacher ,Jimmy Sinclair and the rest of the staff leaving Ibrox make sure the last one out turns out the lights please? This isnt the Rangers i grew up loving and adoring. Not even close.

Thank you to the people who have lost their jobs at Ibrox, you served your Club well. Quite where Rangers go from here is unknown and there will always be a Rangers but that Rangers is far removed from the Club i grew up following. Say what you want about fans groups like Sons of Struth but at least they saw what was happening and cared enough to do something about it. They might not always have taken the correct action but at least they took action at all. Can the rest of us say the same?

This part from CH....

I honestly feel shame now at the fact i was willing to give the Charles Greens,Craig Mathers and David Somers a chance, because every single thing we were warned about these guys has came true. I feel almost as if i have helped enable these guys to plunder my club not just of its money but it's dignity ,honour and tradition. Some will read this and think "aye whatever mate" and stick their heads back in the sand but you know things are worrying when even the ever optimistic Bill McMurdo speculates on his blog about whether there will be a Rangers at all in the future!

All that Sandy Easdale has is the physical Rangers, the acquired history and trophies but the honour ,tradition and soul of the Club can't be bought. It CAN be restored though...... Just not under these charlatans!

I honestly feel the time has come for EVERY SINGLE RANGERS Fan to 100% UNITE and chase SANDY EASDALE out of our club. Forget all our petty squabbles over whether we are Pro Ally or Anti Ally, Pro Board or Anti Board... WE ARE ALL PRO RANGERS AND SURELY THEN WE CAN RECOGNISE THAT SANDY EASDALE IS A CANCER WITHIN OUR CLUB?

He stopped the King bail out going ahead because the MA loan scenario enables him to stay in power. This clown doesnt care about Rangers,he barely owns more % of shares than Ally McCoist owns! He isn't even on our plc board yet he IS the shotcaller, why do we allow this? Let's be honest,we ALL know Sandy Easdale is a Charles Green minion? SE gets his power from his voting block of fellow Charles Green carve up merchants. Whyte,Green and the rest of them, their day is coming but let's ensure after their day has came that we still have a Club left standing! I truly believe that MA would do business with Dave King,it's in his intersts to do so. The stumbling block between Rangers and a full restoration is Sandy Easdale and his brother. Surely everyone of our support can see this?? Surely everyone of us can sit down and AGREE on a method of disposal?? Where there's a will there's a way Bears!!

If we don't remove this parasite from power at Ibrox then i dread to think what we will lose next!! Lets see... Club Crest, gone. Retail, gone. All staff linked with pre Admin Rangers, gone. Dignity, gone. Trust, gone. Self respect, gone. Money, gone 3 times over! Fans?Almost gone...... from where i'm standing Bears that only leaves Ibrox and Murray Park left cos they've sure as **** sold the jerseys already! Rant Over. SANDY EASDALE OUT OF MY CLUB. I don't do twitter but can we get ‪#‎EasdaleOut‬ trending? Thoughts on Sandy Easdale Bears? ‪#‎WATP‬

****s were posting below the Facebook post about how amazing the radiator story was and how, they too, had been shown the hallowed radiator by Wee Tiny with teary eyes.

Guess whit?

A week after they argued they deserved the money for Telfer, they gave Tiny 2 years severance.

Want to cheat other clubs? Oldco
Want to pay staff aff? Newco

****s that shady even their own.

But Ally has only handed in his notice (and got his pay rise) to show how he feels about the abysmal treatment handed out to the long serving radiators.

More dangerous nonsense and outright lies from McMurdo. Quite unreal.

I see the propaganda campaign against Mike Ashley has been ramped up yet another notch. Ashley and his team are now having to deal with muck being thrown at him from several directions, including the football authorities, the Rangers-despising media and, of course, his “competition” -the sportswear sellers among the malcontents of the Rangers support. And, of course, those fans of Glasgow’s second biggest team who fear an Ashley regime at Ibrox.
Celtic are involved as usual, proof? Again as usual there is none.

It’s amazing the amount of people who hate the very notion of a real billionaire taking the reins on Edmiston Drive. You really have to wonder about the SFA’s charging of Ashley with rule breaches. Nobody is suggesting that Rangers should get away with such breaches but it has suited our football authorities in the past to change the rules to suit their objectives.
I'm sure he will give some examples one day.

A very valid question in the Ashley situation is: Does the potential investment and involvement of the Sports Direct magnate benefit Scottish football in general by bringing some much-needed revenue to the game? If it produces a healthier Rangers which in turn attracts sponsor and advertiser money, then it is a no-brainer.
Him being expert on "No Brainers"

In the current climate – and in any climate – this matters more than some dumbass rule. The SFA’s job is to promote football in every way it can, not to enforce draconian rules which do nothing to help anybody. As my old man said recently in a media interview, even Ernie Walker recognised that commercial necessity would – and sometimes should – trump other concerns. It’s not about selling your soul for filthy lucre; it’s about understanding that money drives the game. That is why it is called the PROFESSIONAL game. Of course, the SFA may just be going through the motions to appease anti-Rangers concerns. This is also reprehensible. If Scottish football allows itself to be dictated to by anti-Rangers bigots, we might as well shut it down now. Who can forget the morons who would rather see their own club die than Rangers be allowed to play in the SPL? No wonder sporting integrity is now widely known as a euphemism for anti-Rangers bias.

Some Rangers fans are licking their lips at the prospect of Ashley turning his big legal guns on the SFA. My take is that this should only be done as a last ditch resort. Fighting with the governing bodies is not necessarily the best way to kick off Ashley’s reign at Ibrox. However, neither is kowtowing to people who have a real brass neck lecturing us on what is good for Scottish football.

What is needed is for Mike Ashley and/or his people to sit down with the SFA and thrash out terms which allow him to have influence at Rangers which will be a benefit to all concerned. Anybody who opposes this desperately-needed financial injection and the wider spread implications in terms of television money, sponsors etc should be lampooned and ridiculed
.
Utter drivel, all of this. Ashley can hire all the lawyers in the world for all the good it would do.

Scottish football needs Mike Ashley. And Mike Ashley knows it. So does Peter Lawwell and the CEOs and Chairpersons of other clubs. The buck stops with the SFA in terms of keeping Scottish football in a thriving condition. But the bucks start by making it easy for MASH to take control at Rangers without the hindrance of meaningless regulation. Any other response from the SFA and the football community in Scotland than a hearty welcome to Mike Ashley’s involvement at Rangers is suicidal and self-mutilating.

There you have it, any refusal by the SFA to stick to their own rules is nothing more than Bigotry and an attempt to kill off Rangers, anyone who does not agree with this is a bigot.

The SFA are there to help clubs (his club, specifically) not enforce rules.

You know how you could never figure out a Hun mindset? Like, you've tried your whole life but you wonder how they get to the conclusions they do?

The association is not a governing body or to enforce rules, they should help Rangers every way they can or else they are bigots.

What an extraordinary way for a hominid to interact with the world.

He's re-writing history on the hoof, as he NOW sees it. The fact of the matter is he is partly corrrect, the SFA did ignore rules but only when it came to Rangers, like trying to shoehorn them into the SPL, like ignoring their own "fit and proper person" rules (several times over), like allowing Ashley "Special Dispensation" to own 10% of another club.

How he can't or won't acknowledge this would be baffling were he not so ****ing blinkered by his own hatred of all things not Rangers.

The guy is an idiot, not one Rangers fan I know in real life, or in cyber world listens to a word he says or takes him seriously.

In fact, as per, the only people who take him seriously are Celtic fans, just like the last crackpot Leggo.

The taig mindset is truly baffling and the only conclusion I can draw is that you identify with these mutants and wish that they were Celtic bloggers as you agree with what they say.

And that's why we talk about him, I've never said he's a typical Gers fan, as far as i'm aware no one has, but I recall a few short years ago any Celtic fan who claimed a conspiracy against Celtic was lambasted to the point that he became the typical Taig.

When we start saying McMurdo is a typical anything then you may have a point. It's not happened yet and it's unlikely to happen anytime soon.

I never said that you said he was a typical Gers fan, though Son of Dev did touch on "The Hun Mindset" when talking of McMurder, drawing conclusions between McMurder and other Protestants though what that has to do with football is beyond me then I'm not a Bheast FC fan so don't get the spastic logic.
