I got dragged into a thing on Facebook last night about this "outrage".

Some fanny was "educating" me on the pro-German actions of the Irish Government during WWI.

I presume he meant Carson's wee soujourn to Hamburg and the Larne guns the Germans gave them on the Fanny.

Obviously, I could be wrong and the Irish government did bargain with the Huns...

...8 years before it existed.

I was actually just trying to gently take the piss out of an utter ***** (mate of a work colleague) when about ten rabids jumped in - only lasted a couple of comments before I went "You people are ****wits - carry on"

Thing is, one of this work colleague's other mates didn't help whatsoever by jumping in every so often and making jokes about the Ibrox disaster <doh>

I like to think that humans are essentially good and inquisitive animals - but increasingly I think folk would rather be proved right in their mental assumptions than learn.

Who knew a set of itchy baws would cause such an outrage? I guess Stokes can count himself lucky it wasn't a bleeding rectal passage, there's always that...

To whom it may concern,

As a long term Burton`s customer, I must express my disgust at a T-shirt which you appear to be selling.

The T-shirt in question is item code: 45P40FWHT
Direct link: http://www.burton.co.uk/webapp/wcs/s...t=1&geoip=home

I feel this T-shirt should not be on sale and should not have even passed the design approval stage.

The main image on the front of the T-shirt is clearly a modified version of a legendary picture relating to the founders of Rangers football club over 150 years ago.
A quick internet search will back this up.
Try this direct link: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=fo...ed=0CAYQ_AUoAQ

For this image to have been depicted in such a manner is quite frankly disgusting, along with some cheap references within the T-shirt text, relating to other footballing matters that some may find controversial to Rangers Football Club and its large fanbase.

I don`t feel Burton should be selling such products portraying such footballing rivalry, never mind the disgusting version of such a historic picture.

This matter has now went viral on many Rangers Football Club related websites and fans forums, which I`m sure will see further complaints made and possible other actions considered in terms of boycotting Burton`s.
I`m sure also the family members of those men from the original picture would be most angered at their beloved being depicted in such taste.

I for one, will no longer be shopping at Burton`s unless this product is removed and an explanation given as to why this was even sanctioned for sale. It must be a matter of concern regarding your design department intentions and approval process.

I look forward to your response.
