There's not many teams that will take three points from the Liberty this season. Happy enough with the point today, therefore glass half full.
The glass is half full but there is plenty to top it up with. For the first 60 minutes we were demonstrably the better side. We are now starting to see the fruits of our squad. Rodgers may continue to call it 'thin' but we do have the ability to change both our back 4 and our midfield around to suit the opposition and overcome injuries. Suarez didn't get a card Lucas is another week closer to returning Henderson finally found a position more in-line with his skills. We've got more in the tank to put in the pot!
All fair points Foredeck, you could add to that were a week closer to bolstering our forward line come january.I agree we have good inter-changeable options elsewhere on the park. I'm confident we will close in on 5th early in the new year.
Not the best of games from both sides and that is probably due to the nature of the game, I was disappointed in the first half on Joe allens display as he kept giving the ball to us that made me think does he think he still plays for us anyway he got better as the game went on......As a swans fan I am happy with a point and would have had no complaints if you had nicked it 1-0 but it was not to be and its another point gained towards safety.....It petered out to a dull game where both sets of players settled for a draw and i have no complaints about that......on a small point that is of no criticism about the player but has gerrard had his day as a player in top flight football and does he need to be replaced and put on the bench as cover when January comes along....good luck for the rest of the season...
I dont know what this idiot above me has posted because i have the muppet on ignore but i can guess its bullshit as usual,,,,,take no notice of him ....most jacks dont...
For that you can have Gary Monk, and we can buy some more great European and Asian players. Since we bought Ki we have new Korean Sponsors putting money in the club so he is now basically playing for free ! and we have opened new marketts in Korea for merchandise cheers
FCUK he's got me there, most jacks don't ignore me they just loathe TennaLad(Y) above. In truth he is a closet 'Pool supporter but tags onto our board as I suppose we're closest to his twilight nursing home.
thought it was a decent point, not an easy place to go and get a win. Lots of positives to take, Agger and Skrtel where top class and they look fully adjusted to the new system, Reina looks better after his break, and Enrique, wow, is that the same guy? we have a nice undefeated run going, just need to turn a few draws into wins and we will be in good shape. Overall very happy.
Both have played and will play better. Shame really as it could have been a corker of a game and, instead, it never really got out of 2nd gear. I was going to get on my "high horse" and waggle my finger and start saying "it's not a competition", when I remembered that that's exactly what the prem is... Neither team really has anything to crow about or to cry about. It wont be on the end of season DVD oor the blooper reel.
The centre halfs look absolutely fine - it's just building a little flair up front and support for Suarez. January will sort that out, witha bit of good luck. Which reminds me, good luck for the rest of the season (one game apart).
Glass half full for me, didn't think we performed well today but 0-0 was a fair result! Would like to say though that the travelling Liverpool supporters were superb - best bunch we've had down here by a long way. Great banter before the game, and during, and after!!
Hmmm, looks offside to me Brendan. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2238170/Swansea-0-Liverpool-0-match-report.html You only get those if you're Everton in an FA semi-final.
4 years ago - this would have been a straightforward win and I wouldn't have expected anything less. During Roy's reign - I would have been happy with a point. Today - We aren't that much better than Swansea. We have may have better players individually but in terms of the overall team, there isn't a massive difference and that is the sad state of affairs. However, we played extremely well in the first half and you could aruge that we should have been out of sight. Missed some great chances. Second half was extremely poor and we struggled to keep the ball so what does Rodgers do? Bring on Joe Cole and Shelvey. Shocking substitutions IMO but I can understand the logic behind Jonjo.
