After a performance like that, which was truly shocking, did the players deserve that support? I'm not saying the walkout was right or wrong, but i can empathize with why people did it.
I can see where you're coming from - but I think players such as Brady, Quinn, Dawson and McShane don't deserve to be in that category - thought they worked their arse off.
I've never known massive vocal support for Us in all my time gonna City There's only ever been a few hundred in the Kempton and maybe the same ( at most ) in the old south at booth ferry park There was never any noise out of the west at BP In fact I was in the upper north and there was I bit of singing in there The North was quiet for long periods today also and if they arnt singing then the game must be dull
SW corner was dire today. Me and a few blokes on row FF were singing, and there was one gent who shouted "Where's the support? Silence doesn't help anyone. Make some noise!" Atmosphere was awful in the West (shame, because the view is brilliant).
I left on 90 mins with my 2 little girls and I did buy them a mc Donald's and a film of their choice is going on shortly, I have seen it all before and i will see it again even if we're in league 2 in 5 years. Although I believe a lot of the under 30's protesting at the moment will be supporting who ever is successful at the time and will of long given up on city. Just my opinion that's all!
I won't lie - that's the feeling I got of some people where I was sat today. I'm 22 - and have supported City for 15 years, but just get the feeling some people around my age would never have bothered to come during the League 1 and 2 days!
If people have good reason to leave early then so be it. But I'm perfectly entitled to think it's a bit baffling for people to leave early just to beat the crowds or because your missus has put your potato waffles in the oven.
It's a misconception There is noise coming out of the upper west you just don't notice it cos it happens when the East start singing The South ( sorry Asseem Allam stand ) where I normally sit is dreadful It's like sat in a stand full of cardboard cut outs
I know they pay their money & as so can do as they please but what baffles me is that they know what time it finishes before it starts so why don't they plan their potato waffles accordingly? Is there an excuse? Only one I can think of is to get to work, but that must be an extremely low percentage of those that flee. FFS if you want to avoid the crowds stay 'til the end, there's only a few of us left.
If you leave early when there's still everything to play for, do you really care that much? You're obviously perfectly happy to miss your team grab a late equaliser or bag a winner deep in injury time. There's no better feeling watching your team than that.
Agreed. Night matches are.my curse because of the late night back & getting up next morning for work. I'd probably save an hour leaving 10 mins early but would rather sleep in & start later next day than miss the end.
Me n the juniors stay till the end. We might score a late late goal Dont know why so many leave early.
Me neither. I dont know why people go for a pint at 39 minutes either. I like a drink but I'm not desperate for one. Or come back 5 minutes into the second half.
