I don't follow his social account but that is quite telling. I don't think we are in for any forward players, so keeping Pod would be less hassle.

I think we're likely to be stuck with what we have. Sanogo, Alexis, Podolski and Campbell will fill in the void until Ollie is back and hopefully Theo will make an appearence at some point. We're probably getting a CB and that will be it... which always looked to be Wenger's plan.

We technically have good depth but it depends on 2 things. If we can keep them fit, notably Walcott, and how well they all adapt to playing the CF spot. So Walcott is the only one of the bunch that has looked decent in the CF spot. Campbell is still an unknown quantity as is Sanchez. Pod hasn't done well in the CF spot and Sanogo is still green. Whoever gets the nod will have to hit the ground running, anything less will reduce our attacking potency greatly. This may mean that Wenger will have to alter his tactics/formation to accommodate a "non-unit". But we all know that Wenger rarely changes his strategy, lets hope he does to good effect.

Am I the only one who thinks that Pod is the best option for CF?

    Hard to say:

Sanogo is unbelievably raw (and has a light injury!).
Campbell is almost as raw and new to the EPL, looked poor against Everton too imo (very early days I know).
Podolski tried there a number of times last season and didn't impress me - think he's far better playing off someone's shoulder.
Sanchez didn't look comfortable against Everton but new league and not his regular position.
Theo is also crocked but think he'll be an excellent option against some teams...when fit.

I think it will be Sanchez starting against Besiktas with either Pod or Joel as a sub.

Glad Podolski is staying really like him as a character.

We haven't seen anywhere near the best of him at Arsenal though. The year before we signed him he was brilliant for Cologne in the no.10 role.

Tbh Podolski hasn't really had a run of games at CF. Now is his chance to show what he's made of. If anything that hammer foot will scare defenses

no , i dont think hes been given a decent crack at anything yet .

Wenger seems to have his favorites and they play practically every game regardless.
