I don't think Levy will ever have a last stand will he? ENIC who own 85% of Spurs are themselves 30% owned by Levy the other 70% of ENIC are owned by the tax dodging billionaire Joe Lewis. Joe Lewis is Daniel Levys' godfather. Who exactly is going to sack Levy?
Still, the sooner Maurice gets the p45 the less we need to worry about club contact. At the end of the day Levy does not like our prices, but his gimp sure does like our players.
Levy doesn't like anyone's prices. He didn't like the £85m price for Bale but had to be locked in a room by the other ENIC guys. Still amazes me that Harry was hired there.
I feel that Jay isnât âripeâ to leave yet. Whatever we feel about it, and however it was handled, Adam was, if weâre talking about hitting the start of a peak; as is Morgan. But I feel that he will still be wanting that move to Spurs: I reckon both his injury (his fears that this may be his last chance to get a move like this â the risk being that his injury re-occurs, or he doesnât come back the same player) and the fact that Poch may move on at any point (thus ending Spursâ interest) will dictate that. Guesswork, of course.
This could be good. If say, its not true, it will be good to have Jay under some pressure to actually commit to the club, or maybe give a stuttering response to why he thinks that wouldn't be a good career move. I'm looking forward to hearing from him in the near future. You can't just ignore the question for 18 months now can you?
