Poch would definitely be an improvement on Little Ollie, but is he what United need? Sure, if they’d be happy always being the bridesmaid and never the bride, crack on.
He always had a bit of filth in him. All those United players did. Take away the filth and all you were left with was Beckham’s silly haircut.
Forget Utd - Arsenal fans must weep with frustration looking at that photo. Doubt they’ll ever see a team like that again.
Hardest bunch of horrible bastards we had were the '94 double winning team. There was no messing with that lot. As for Poch, probs already been said but it's highly likely to happen in summer, which is fine. Ole will see out the season and step aside. With fourth, the EL or FA cup, who knows? Possible one but unlikely any tbh.
They aren’t an attractive proposition to potential buyers. The youth setup has always been ****e. They just don’t produce quality players, the Longstaffs have come through recently and for all the mags like to get excited about how talented they’re, they’re just a couple of low end premier league players, at best. Training facilities are bang average. They don’t own and will never own St James Park because that belongs to the council. It would need huge investment in every part of the business to make it an elite club. New ground, new training facilities and special dietary centres for their fat smelly supporters. At the moment, you can buy Sunderland for 300m less. We come complete with the AOL which has category one status. We own the SOL and it has potential to be expanded to 63k should the club take off and the extra seating is needed. Our supporters shower, stay clean and don’t smell. I doubt new owners see the supporters as a positive. They’re always being photographed shouting at shops, or smashing their own town centre up, or staging one of their many protests, like mock funerals etc. Ticket sales have been on the decline for a few years and that ground is never full these days as much as they’ll try and convince the world otherwise. They’re as loyal as any other club in the country. It also can’t help that they’ll beat up any livestock if handed the opportunity.
The Utd would dominate a selection now, this Liverpool team have to win more to be considered as good as that Utd team so it's a daft conversation for now. Formations also important with the Utd team being 442? Different players for each formation needed.
Current standings based on 442 and the trophies Utd Won and taking into account who I think are simply the better players. PS Neville Stam VVD Irwin Beckham Keane Scholes Giggs Bobby Cole 433 Becker TAA Stam VVD Irwin Fabinho Keane Scholes Mane Bobby Giggs The formation makes a massive difference to me.
Saudis and Newcastle still negotiating. Amanda Stavely being the go between isn't helping as Ashley doesn't like her. The January transfer window closing took the urgency out of the deal as initially they hoped to get it done while there was still time to make a couple of signings.
Frankly, it’s an insult to the intelligence of every football fan that the media is trying to compare the current ‘Pool side with one of the best sides in Prem history. I don’t know about you lads, but I feel soiled.
