Also comes down to how Mauricio thinks that his time at SFC has come up to expectations. Is he excited about preseason...hopeful of getting players he wants etc. And also his personal relationship with Nicola. Hope Nicola just says no to any approach. Southampton chairman Nicola Cotese says it "would not make sense" for him to stay at the club if manager Mauricio Pochettino leaves the Saints.

Cortese told BBC Radio Solent: "The reality is we share a common passion and we share a long-term plan for this club. We share our passion for football and it would not make much sense for me to continue at this club if he is not here.

"I do not understand Southampton without Mauricio in the future."
