Because of where we are and what the next step is...we are not mid table fodder who are expecting to challenge at the top...you know where we are...everyone does

It's not about expecting more it's about the next logical step...you won't understand because you never saw your club build...it was financially doped...which is fair enough of course.

But like I keep on saying...right now we are at the stage where some ££ would be very handy in getting to next stage, possibly.

I wouldn’t say he’s held us back per-se, perhaps sometimes restricted us taking a bigger step forward in stages but we’ve still moved forward under him.

We’ve continuously progressed since he took over, been a long process and he’s definitely made some questionable decisions during that time, the most recent being failure to invest in the squad over the summer but spurs are now a firmly established top 6 side in the Prem and a lot of that is down to him. The lack of trophies will always count against him but I don’t think any other side has had a better progression than us outside of those who’ve needed Russian or Arab money. Leicester had the title win but are back to being ****, while Villa and Everton were for so long our rivals at trying to crack that top 4/5 monopoly yet we’ve left them for dust. There’s still some way to go and hopefully the new stadium will help towards that but I think overall Levy’s done a great job when you consider our limitations with regards to the five bigger clubs in the Prem and where we were before he took charge.

Poch’s comments are definitely implying that Levy has to get the cheque book out though. We badly need strengthening at CM in January so here’s hoping he delivers.

  6. Commercial revenue, yeah?

I'm surprised that Levy hasn't thought about that.

Seems unlikely. Martinez is ahead of him in the betting, rather bizarrely.

Ten point margin which got you to a grand total of 81 points. A total which would have won the league once in the previous 10 seasons (I couldn't be bothered to look back further than that). This isn't a slight on Leicester, I am just saying that that year the traditional teams at the top all hugely under performed based on previous points totals. Leicester took advantage and fair play. For Spurs to win the league something similar would need to happen I think

Yep he's taken you forward from where you were when he joined. But let's be honest here, you were utter **** back then and whilst it's tempting to say that's about right, you should be a top 6 club at least given your history and status. You can argue that Levy has got you there eventually, but it's taken 12 managers, a **** load of wasted money on dross players, and still no trophies. The bigger issue arguably though, is now that he's got you there, he seems unwilling to do what's needed to take you to the next level. Which must be hugely frustrating for Spurs fans, players and indeed the manager who has come out and said as much.

  10. I called it whilst the resident rabid foxes were tugging at their bell-ends in the throes of winning the title. I said that their finishing top 4 would come at a terrible cost.

The likes of Bambi, Buzzy and Foxy have never forgiven me for that. I don't think they ever will.

So far the delays are six weeks. The stadium is still there and it will open. Your stadium couldn’t find a fake bomb that they knew was there!

they don't envisage (if there are no more delays) that it'll be open til Jan. thats 4 months later!

knowing levy he'll push that date out to feb so he can have an excuse for not buying players... again

Conte makes sense, though. ****ing Martinez?! At Real Madrid?
Wenger's up there too and that would make more sense. I want him to take over at Old Trafford after Mourinho leaves, though.
Just for the humour value, one way or the other.

Could it also be that Levy may have indicated that funds won’t be available in Jan?

  16. Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has warned Real that they have little chance of tempting Mauricio Pochettino away from Tottenham to replace Lopetegui. (Evening Standard)

The likes of Pixie and other third-rate wumsters won't want to hear this, I suspect.

  20. For now, perhaps.

Do you think that Levy hasn't worked out a way for our new stadium to make any kind of difference to our revenue?
