PNE and Millwall are a long way from top teams though.

The first goal is abysmal. When the ball is in the opponents half a keeper stood on the edge of his box would be able to deal easily with what occurred.

The second goal is collectively poor. A team with no energy and intensity in defense. If O'leary takes one step foward in line with his post he is in a position to affect a ball that comes into his six yard box and results in a goal.

Tins and JL believe LM, with modern coaching and playing methods will succeed with our squad. They said as much at the Hen & Chicken.
In my experience the prerequisite for any system and success is player ability.

We are sadly lacking......all over the pitch.

JL and Tins have brought this on themselves.........and more importantly....us.

Those who think they know better than all the rest are generally incompetent idiots who can't believe that someone else may know better. When you hire a coach that you think can take your club to the next level because they have forward thinking ideas they will certainly need support from the very top and be allowed to do their business in the way for which they were brought in to replace the previous manager. Liam Manning may very well have the attributes and new-age ideas on how to change a poorly performing team's fortunes, but unless he has the players who can change their game to meet the new standards. Angelic made a great comment by saying that by selling the future stars that we have over the seasons just leaves us with the dross that couldn't punch their way out of a wet paper bag. I have seen many great players come through the portals of Ashton Gate and shine for us until the point at which we pull the plug on them and they are off somewhere else. How on earth can the bosses expect anything other than what they are clearly willing to accept as suitable when they seem only capable of attracting poor players after poor players expecting them suddenly to turn into something way beyond their capability? Liam has a virtually impossible task on his hands and I'm sure that a few words with some of the more talented managers that have left the building I would suspect him to ask why the hell did he make the move to a dysfunctional outfit such as Bristol City? Until such time as there is a massive shift in our business plan no manager can help our fortunes, and a quick review of all the super plans of the past that failed dismally will tell a sad story of a club that hasn't ever grown up to face the modern world.
