Still a good GK but I just dont see him as a top half PL GK - which some predicted when he broke through Will still have a really good career
**** me. Keepers can save a shot and put the ball into he wrong area as easily as an outfield player can misplace a pass only difference is a mistake from a keeper often leads to conceding, doesn't mean he is suddenly ****e.
There’s no doubt he’s good, as solid as they come at this level. I expected him to play in the PL though, I just don’t think he’s improved much since he first came into the side.
Patterson's save for their first goal was world class, mind. Ridiculous. If that doesn't banjo off Ballard and go in you're potentially looking at save of the season. Defo not the finished article yet, but he's a really good keeper who will have a great career. Convinced of that.
Aye fine margins a bit higher and hit it's the bar and over. Keeping it at 1-0 was it? Their second a penna?
I knew ya were going to say that after I posted and realised I was over reacting and no one actually said that!
If we were going to lose a game in the first 5 then this is the game to lose as it shouldn’t affect us (as opposed to a 6 pointer v Burnley for example) RLB should have used the bench much earlier. Their LW player, Cissoko(?) was excellent.
Should Dan Neil have deserved to be brought straight back in to the side , I don’t like to change a winning team and the midfield struggled in the second half . Neil is a good player in my opinion but I don’t think he had a very good game today and the midfield with Browne in it at Portsmouth looked a lot more solid would probably left Rigg on rather than Neil as Jobe looked better playing deeper .
Shouldn’t have dropped Browne imo. Obviously always going to happen because Neil is the captain but I think he’s been bang average/bordering on one of our poorer players so far this season in his new role.
