How ridiculous, no matter where you stand why shouldn't you stand up and chant whether in support of the banner or not.

So because those two teams finished poorly, that's "history teaching us that teams start playing like dogshit when protests happen at matches" I really don't think that's the conclusive proof you make it out to be is it? Also you're ignoring the blindingly obvious which is that the regimes they were protesting against were harmful to the club and contributed far more to their poor league positions than the fans did.

But presumably if I pointed out that Man U fans have been protesting for years but keep winning titles and that Cardiff protested last year and still got promoted that would be different?

In fact, our home support might is practically a protest anyway. Everyone groans every time we lose the ball. Judging by your hysterical comments on here when we lose Circa, you're probably the exact type who does this. When you're at games that is. The players seem to do fine despite people groaning every time there's a bad pass, but you think people singing CTID will harm their performances?

Ehab doesn't want a name change. On the whole he's much more reasonable than Dad, but he isn't interested in football.

RE the West stand. I sit in the West and me and my dad joined in and a few others were singing. It wasn't anywhere near as loud or well-participated as the East of course, but where we sit it's very rare that anyone sings ever.

    The chanting was superb yesterday.

Many thousands of people loudly and proudly demonstrating that they are in defiance of the dictator.

Who are the club to think they can take the banner away? They were causing no harm, just making a peaceful protest. The hundreds of people who jumped to their defence as they tried to steal their property was marvellous. They would not be bullied.

I hope the singing yesterday was a sharp stab to the guts of Allam. I know he's used to people bending over for him, but not everybody will, and yesterday was a loud wall of defiance. For the first time he was named in a chant, and it wasn't a positive one. I hope that hurt.

All you lily-livered tarts who don't think it's worth the bother of even expressing opposition to one of his ideas, or even worse support this camp name change, make me sick. It might all be in vain, but I don't see that as reason not to fight it. If it is changed, people will continue to fight until it is changed back.

I, for one, think it should be ramped up.

All ran by clueless owners far more harmful than the fans were. In fact all have much more vocal home support than we do.

Cardiff and Man U fans protested last season but both won the league.

    There is clearly no correlation.

Regarding protesting to team form is ridiculous. You could pick any factor you wanted about a team who's currently out-of-form and say it's all because of that (i.e. Blackburn, Wolves and Yeovil having more frogs than anywhere else in England has lead to poor form... etc). Deary me...
