i did Fallout on hardcore - no dying and having to eat and sleep lol .

also a few yrs ago i was in North Wales and drove past a place called Bethesda , we used to pass it on way to the slate mines .

Happy Tiger doesnt see the irony in his own post ,being a forum Troll & spending most of his spare time fighting the Allam cause over cyberspace .

There was no irony in my post. I spend a lot of time online, most of it not on here FYI, I am also an online gamer. I still have time to spend with the family, go to the pub, go to games, look after my fishys etc. I was responding to the accusation that because someone enjoys online gaming they have no other life.

That's just bollocks, not irony.

Between the RIP threads for musicians from before my time and now this, I seem to have fallen through the cracks between two generations.

Can I play this on my Atari?
Nah but you can play that game with the alligators, snakes etc that you jump over. I forget the name but I loved that as a kid.

I never played 1 or 2, but gave Fallout 3 a go - I'm a big fan of the Elder Scrolls, so I thought I'd love it. But jesus - it's bleak. I know - what would you expect from a post-atomic wasteland - but my god, if I spent more than an hour playing that listening to the dodgy 50s soundtrack, I'd be on the phone to the Samaritans. With the Elder Scrolls, at least you have the variety of the landscapes. You're still basically wandering around killing people, but it's so much more civilised doing by a babbling mountain brook rather than a stream of radioactive waste.

I was hoping there would be an announcement about TES 6 - which already seems to have the working title of Redguard - There was five years between Oblivion and Skyrim, and Skyrim turns five next November, and as has been said - TES Online isn't really Bethesda.

Don't think I'll be trying Fallout 4 though.

Goldeneye, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy VII and Ocarina of Time were my jam. N64 and the original PlayStation ****ing rocked. Still my fave 2 consoles, still have both.

Goldeneye was the ****, and then perfect dark came along...

the playstation made me wow with its controller , beatem ups and racing games but for me the dreamcast is where all the coolest **** happened ,
the best arcade conversions - VF , Sega Rally ,Shenmue , Sega Bass , Resi Code Veronica , Soul edge , VOOT controller !! , online console gaming , detachable memory and game thing , that sega helped distribute the disc that made piracy simple - lots of funny and suicidal **** but plenty of firsts too .
if they could have got the fifa franchise onboard it would have ben more than just a pioneering machine , but a popular machine .

The Dreamcast was a great console, it's pretty much the predecessor to the Xbox. If anything it was slightly ahead of it's time.

Goldeneye and Mario Kart were the games of choice at uni. Until Timesplitters came along.

Actually, Mario Kart eventually got banned in our house, it just wasn't worth the blood in the carpet afterwards. **** losing on FIFA or COD, you don't know pain until you've been Blue Shelled out of first place on Bowser's Castle.

Using Oddjob on Goldeneye came under penalty of death.

I've got an N64 set up in my Man Cave. I played Goldeneye last week as it goes and it turns out I'm still ****ing ace on it.
