If we can palm off the greedy, self interested clubs at the top of the tree, do away with the Champions League (biggest joke/misnomer ever) and reform what's left into a sensible, fair, well governed format that has the good of the sport/competition at its heart then I'd be well up for that.

TBH I'd be happy to see most of those clubs and their plastic, self entitled fans go anyhow....

Don’t these clubs think of anything else than ego and money?
Would their fans really want this?

Only a small representation of the total I know but those commenting so far on Spurs Not606 are totally against the idea. Not looked elsewhere.

The majority of their "proper" fans I'm sure would be dead against it.

Sadly, the younger ones that have been fed a diet of nothing but Premier League football, Sky Sports and activities Champions League that's touted as the be all and end all will probably be happy with the idea of being in a league structure with Real and Barca rather than Reading and Bournemouth.

£4.6bn to start a new league when 1 per cent of that would save some clubs.

Once the working man's game now controlled by people who have no feelings for the game, just the money it can generate. The pandemic seemingly proof to them that they don't need fans through the turnstiles. Only plastic fans needed.

It's a sad fact that in my little village there were more Liverpool shirts and flags in evidence at the end of the season than Cardiff shirts or flags when we were promoted. Willing to bet that 90% of those Liverpool fans have never been close to Anfield.

I worked in Liverpool for just over 2 years. I was the only cardiff fan in the office.
Saying that, I worked in manchester city centre for 6 months, preston for a year and crewe for 18 months. Every time, the only cardiff fan in the office.<cheers>
    Loud and proud.
Never got to anfield or deepdale, but have watched us at goodison, old Trafford and gresty rd.:emoticon-0104-surpr

And every time I've been to games up here its been with people supporting the home team so I was in their end. Never stopped me jumping up whenever we scored.

Yeah, a few years ago since watching Crewe. We've been upwardly mobile since then and they haven't.

Spent more hours than I'd like to admit stood on crewe station. Good view of the back of the ground from there. They're not called the Railwaymen for nothing. Been to a couple socials in their clubhouse as well.
