im fully behind all players who pull on the red and white shirt - however if a bad game is had by somebody, i will say. i would never boo a player who plays in the saints shirt
Guly is one of the top goal-scorers in the league and his rate of assists is pretty good too. Yes, he can be immensely frustrating to watch... then he'll go on and do something marvellous shortly afterwards. Booing one of our own players is ultimately self-defeating. Cheering them on builds their confidence and leads to better performances. If there are problems with Guly's play (and I think we would all agree that he is not the complete player yet), then it is Nigel and his coaching staff to work on any shortcomings in his performance on the training ground. Disparaging our own players will not increase their performance levels. Repeat after me: Ole, ole, ole, ole, Guly! Guly!
Birds nest - fully agree, Guly needs our support not our booing but Saints fans have over the years picked on players and given them a shoeing! Unfortunately for Guly, Seaborne is out for the season now so we have turned on poor old Guly who is our second top scorer and one of the top scorers in the league. No real logic to him being picked on just the unfortunate way Saints fans have behaved over the 40 odd years I have supported them
