I wasn't even a Hull City fan yet but it has to be Windass' goal. Technically a volley is more difficult to pull off, and emotionally the first promotion to Premier League status is more historic.

No , but remember watching the full SKY programme on the Sunday ,and pre match there was a feature with Deano and Beagrie . It had Beagrie giving Deano a lofted pass from a similar position to what Campbell would have been in and Deano volleys it home . Okay it was at the training ground but was uncannily almost the same as the actual goal scored on the day against Bristol .

Diame's goal precipitated a regulation jump out of seat, punch both fists into the air and shout something meaningless celebration. It was a wonderful moment.

When Deano's goal went in, I went strangely silent, realising the potential enormity of its implications. It was a sublime moment.

It often seemed like City needed to know what they were up against before they could find a way to counteract it. Maybe Bruce consistently set them up wrong, or maybe the players were too often complacent. Whatever the reason it will have to stop. Looking at the season ahead, we're going to get pasted in the first 45 if we come out slow and sloppy, like we did so often in the season just gone.
