I usually like threads that can resolve something, but I appreciate that, with days to go until the new season, supporters are desperate to talk about anything football. As far as Saints are concerned I know Micky Channon is still a Saints fan. Francis Benali, Nick Holmes, Steve Moran. Matty wasn't, but certainly became one, as did a few other players like Mark Dennis. Surman is, I believe. Lambert is fast becoming one, although I'd still put him down as a Liverpool fan. Of course, the numero uno Saints fan is Terry Paine. He has never stopped referring to Southampton FC as us. I think that's why he was recognised as a worthy Honorary President. And lest we forget, our recently departed Ron Davies was another convert. That's my brain cleared out for the moment.

Oh, and Cornwall was nice.

EDIT: Forgot that Lallana is/was an Everton fan, although these days that may not be true, as he wants to stay with Saints until the end of his career.

Subs: the rest

Qwerty has the potential to be the next England manager if he insists on playing us all out of position. As far as I am concerned my right foot is for standing on.

He wants you to cut in a la Fabrice Fernandez.

Fran and I will just swap positions once the match has started just to confuse the opposition and to ensure that we both remain standing when we go to kick the ball.
