I like Joe but we had a cracking deal for him and he wanted to go but as to having him back then i dont know, We have been better without him and have not missed him one bit and we are growing stronger and dont really want to go backwards just to accommodate Joe back in the team.....The only player i would have back is caulker who was not really our player anyway......If Things reach their peak and we start our decline then maybe bring him back....we are going through a time when everything we touch turns to gold but we dont know how long that will last for and we start to go through a period of bad times, It is then we need to be like ( sorry ) liverpool who have declined but still manage to stay comfortable in the premiership and build back up to greatness again which they eventually will. Man city and Chelsea can always use there sugar daddies to keep them up the top but the rest of us have to do it on a shoe string, Newcastle who nobody cant deny are a huge club and they got relegated, even man city and Liverpool have been relegated to div 2 before now, Football for teams like us is swings and roundabouts and a bit of luck as we have to fight hard to get where we are, the money clubs today have it easy with no fear of relegation due to money.....We are a rich club about to get even richer but when you compare it to man utd,man city and Chelsea its peanuts and thats an odd thing to say but true.....So enjoy the good times as it will eventually end for a period of time...30 years last time......
Dean Saunders didn't do too bad! In recent times though, Sam Rickets is probably the only one who has done well after leaving. Even Leon failed (at Sheff Utd).
only one player who has left us has been a success in the premier , but he came back to us to do it LEON LEON LEON
for the olds and bolds i mentioned in a previous thread, no clue how they went after leaving the swans, but Trevor Ford, Roy Paul, Ivor Allchurch, Cliff Jones and Mel Charles (if anyone can assist)
alan curtis robbie james, leighton james. The list is endless of players who moved on to bigger and better clubs, Years ago more so then than now players were more local and as they come to the end of their careers would tend to go back to their home clubs to finish off their careers..
