Well you're a bag of charisma and elegance aren't you? He was on fire when he played alongside Sone Aluko but once Aluko sustained an injury that meant he would miss the rest of the Season, he just couldn't score. Anyway, how do you reckon you'll do this Season?
For some reason(which really annoys me), in the last few years it seems to have become unfashionable to have a striker who can't really pass, can't tackle, has trouble with team play, but inevitably gets you 25-30 goals a year!! I think if you mentioned it now you'd be called a fool a dinosaur, and told to go back to the dark ages!! Well I'm only 35 years old and I shed a tear at the footballing genocide of the out and out striker!! RIP wright, Cole, shearer, Owen, fowler, quinn, ferdinand and many many more............
If we keep Harold the public objective has to be promotion, no point having a manager on a top 30 in the world salary without that. But in reality given the disarray we are in I just hope we don't do a Wolves. Best scenario Harold walks as soon as possible, we get someone fresh and younger in and take a couple of seasons to build something durable, keeping our owners. Good luck to you lot next season, hope you upset a few of the big boys. From the top 7 or 8 down anyone can get relegated from that division, so you have a chance.
can someone enlighten me as to why hogan ephraim was called back from his loan despite the fact he has hardly played 5 minutes in 2 years yet dj was let go. don't get me wrong I've a lot a time for hogan but just don't see where he fits in.
Sod the free transfer idea from established clubs in general. We all know that a free transfer is essentially a euphemism for a 'has been' who has not met the grade already. It would be unfair to say that this always the case as examples like Jermaine Jenas show that such moves can reignite performance, however, in general they do little to inspire a transformation of performance or a departure from the existing culture. Looking at the lists (earlier in the thread) of those available on free / departing the squad, there are none that make me go wow, that's exciting potential! Club management need to look at the restructuring of the squad with the same eyes as somebody starting a business from scratch...3 to 5 year plan with a view to gaining a stability to club circus that currently exists. My view would be to look for the stronger, fitter, more committed players from the lower leagues (particularly down the spine of the team). Finding the more talented end of players on lower pay in the lower leagues injects the necessary hunger and long-term excitement which attracts better players to join (outside of free options) and ultimately leaves the current established wasters to either take an 'if you can't beat 'em join 'em' philosophy or alternatively they wither on the vine. Names don't make teams - only heart and performance do! The team must learn from the current situation they're in and approach in the same way as clubs like Swansea did regardless of available resource.
Has Zoltan Gera retired? He would be a great signing. Crusat and Di Santo from Wigan would be good as well.
Can anyone think of any logic under which DJ has been released? Don't give me the age bollocks. This is the Championship.
How can Harry not rate DJ? The lad went to Ipswich on loan and couldn't stop scoring??? What more proof does anyone need?
He will always do well but I don't think he fits in a QPR team ... Adel put it on a plate against United two season back now and he put it over ... never forgiven him
That's harsh for you Dave! Park who you always stick up for, would still be trying to find the spoon!
