There are a few more who played for both up to the end of World War 2. But considering we have both been in existence as BCFC and BRFC for well over 100 years, there are not that many that wore red and/or blue. Yet so long as they performed to the best of their ability, both sets of supporters have usually welcomed "cross dressers" It's those who were crap for both teams that we did not take to.
When we signed Brian Williams it was a shock to a number of us, in a 'new generation' of supporters we hadn't had anyone come over from the blue side, rovers fans were surprised he wasn't getting a new contract, and the form he showed for us proved rovers had made a mistake as he wasn't a bad player and we did warm to 'bungo'!
I'm currently working on a list of players who have played for both sides including when they played and how many games if anyone can think of anyone not included in this list please let me know Keith Curle, Brian Williams, Trevor Jacobs, Robbie Turner, Bod Anderson, John Akinde, Andy Micklewright, Sean/Shaun(seems to be listed under both)Penny, Bob Adams, Aiden McCaffrey, Wayne Andrews, Donnie Gillies, Barrie Meyer, Joe Anyinsah, Ollie Barnes, Tony Ford, Peter Beadle, Peter Aitken, Tim Carter, Gary Emmanuel, Ray Cashley, Ron Nichols, Bobby 'Shadow' Williams, David Clarkson, Danny Coles, Terry Cooper(who also managed both sides), Johnny Watkins, David Pyle, Christian Edwards, Bobby Gould, Phil Coggins, R(not found first name yet)Caldwell, Steve Harding, Mike Wyatt, Peter Hooper, Paul Heffernan, Phil Kite, Marcus Stewart, Gavin Williams, Paul Miller, Josh Klein Davies, Trevor Morgan, Steve Phillips,James Quinn, Jason Roberts, Dwayne Plummer,
