Marek Rodak has gone on a season long loan to League 1 side Rotherham.

Guess the signing of a new contract by Betts had something to do with this. However the move should be an excellent one for the lad if he does get regular 1st team games in a competitive league. The Miller's boss certainly seems to like him -

As mentioned in the other thread, Marek is currently with the Slovakian U21 side for European qualifying matches so he won't be available to Rotherham for a couple of weeks.

I think it's a good move for all. Marek is a very talented young keeper who needs to be playing, Fulham get a more experienced keeper back.

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised to see Button leave next summer, Betts the summer after and Marek being our goalkeeper in 2019.

Blimey, completely forgot Ragnar Sigurdsson is also on loan. So it's three in total.

So, at the weekend over in Russia, Ragnar Sigurdsson played the opening 69 minutes for Rubin Kazan in their 1-0 away loss to Spartak Moscow, he was substituted for Yegor Sorokin. Rubin Kazan are sixth in the Russian Premier League.

In League One, Marek Rodák made his debut for Rotherham United between the sticks. The Millers went on to beat Bury 3-2 at home. Rotherham led twice through Kieffer Moore, but each time Bury found a way back into the match until Richie Towell scored in the 89th minute to put the game to bed and secure all three points to push them up to ninth in the league.

In the Championship, Cauley Woodrow was an unused substitute for Bristol City as the West Country team went on to win 1-0 and the Madejski Stadium, with Aden Flint scoring late on.

Cauley Woodrow got Bristol City's opener in his debut game for them. In a 4-1 hammering of Derby.

Strange how our on loan strikers do well at Bristol City. First Matt Smith and now Cauley. Must be something in the water or how the manager plays them.

Or maybe the fact that they actually do play them. I would have loved the option of Woodrow for the last couple of games with Fonte missing.

And the other two lads ...

In League One, Marek Rodák played the full 90 minutes in Rotherham United’s 1-0 loss away from home to Bradford City. He made six saves, but couldn’t keep out Romain Vincelot’s first half header that turned out to be the winner. Just before the full-time whistle, Joe Mattock received a red card, with his marching orders for a second yellow. Rotherham now sit ninth in the table, three points from the play-off spots.

In the Russian Premier League, Ragnar Sigurdsson played the full 90 minutes for Rubin Kazan in their 1-0 home defeat to Ural. Kazan are now sixth in the table after that loss, five points off the European places

    Weekend round-up -

Marek Rodák played 90 minutes in Rotherham United’s resounding 5-1 win over bottom of the table Oldham Athletic on Saturday in League One. It was all level at 1-1 as the Millers looked like they could drop points, until they scored 4 in the last 18 minutes to hand them all three points. Rodákmake five saves during the match, and those points mean that Rotherham now sit eighth in the table, two points off the play-off places.

Ragnar Sigurdsson played 90 minutes for Rubin Kazan in their 1-0 defeat away at FK Akhmat in the Russian Premier League on Monday evening. That means Akmat leapfrog them in the table, and Rubin Kazan fall to eighth in the league.

In the Championship Cauley Woodrow was out with a thigh injury but is expected to return for their next encounter with Bolton Wanderers.

Been a while since we heard anything about how the lads on loan are doing. So, over the last days -

"In League One, Marek Rodák played 90 minutes for Rotherham United in their 3-1 home defeat to Gillingham. The Millers’ impressive run of five consecutive home wins was ended by the the Gills. Rotherham conceded early with Josh Parker scoring for Gillingham in the second minute. Gillingham started the second half as strong as the first, scoring again in the second minute through Tom Eaves. Rotherham pulled one back through Kieffer Moore, but with Joe Mattock being sent off in the 85th minute through a second yellow, Gillingham sealed the win a minute later through Parker again.

Rotherham are within the play-off spots by one point and Gillingham are still in the relegation zone.

On Monday evening, Ragnar Sigurdsson played 90 minutes in the Russian Premier League in a 2-1 defeat to UFA whilst playing for Rubin Kazan. Kazan drop to 10th in the league, six points off the European spots.

Back in The English Championship, Cauley Woodrow was an unused substitute when Bristol City beat Sunderland away 2-1. Bristol's next match is against Fulham at Craven Cottage and they sit fourth in the table."

And the other excitement at the weekend:

"Cauley Woodrow made a substitute appearance for Bristol City on Saturday as they won their third success match, beating a 10-man Cardiff City 2-1 at home to close the gap between the two high flyers. Woodrow came on in the 82nd minute to replace Bobby Reid to see out the match after Callum O’Dowda and Aden Flint had given Brist"ol City the lead. It was Omar Bogle who scored for the Bluebirds to bring the match level just before the break, however, the goal-scorer himself was sent off with a straight red card for a late challenge on Marlon Pack. That gave City to find the impetus to go ahead for a second time through Flint.

Cardiff are now third with 31 points, with the Robins one point and one place behind.

Marek Rodák was an unused substitute in Rotherham United’s 2-1 FA Cup loss to Crewe Alexandra.

In the Russian Premier League on Sunday, Ragnar Sigurdsson completed 90 minutes for Rubin Kazan in a 0-0 draw at home to second placed Zenit St Petersburg. That draw keeps Rubin Kazan 10th in the league.

Cauley Woodrow came off the bench in the 67th minute and scored a stoppage time goal for Bristol City last night.

Unfortunately for him and City it was only a consolation goal as they lost at home 2-1 to Preston. That was Preston's first win in eight.

Isaac Pearce has joined National League side Bath City on loan until the end of this year.

The lad, only just turned 19, was an ever present in the U18s last season, scoring 9 goals. This year the versatile winger has been getting U23 games but not regular starts so this should be a good, albeit short term, move for him. Born and bred in Bristol he should have no problem settling in quickly and with any luck will get his debut game for them in an FA Trophy match on Tuesday.

Isaac came on in the 68th minute in Bath City’s 0-0 home draw to Hemel Hempstead at the weekend, creating a chance for a last minute winner. Unfortunately team mate Andy Watkins sent a diving header wide.

That draw leaves Bath 12th in the table. Their next match is away to Margate in a replay of the FA Trophy.

Elijah Adebayo has gone on loan to Cheltenham Town in League 2 for the rest of the season.

The birthday boy (he was 20 on Sunday) also signed a new contract until 2019 before starting the loan. He's done really well with goals for the U23s this season - 9 from 12 outings - but there are bits of his game that needs working on. So this should be an excellent move and experience for him.

Elijah Adebayo playing his second game for Cheltenham (he made his debut against Accrington Stanley last weekend) scored his first goal for them in an away game at Mansfield. Elijah came off the bench in the 7th minute of first half injury time and by jings he was flung into one very acrimonious game. Mansfield ended up with 10 men on the pitch and Cheltenham with 9, and a smattering of yellows for both sides to boot.

The home team won 3-2 with their winner coming in the 95th minute. "The lad done good" however and his goal, bringing the score to 2-2, showed intelligent running and good feet -
