Tayo Edun, already back at the Club with an eye injury, has formally ended his loan to Ipswich.

Looks like Aron Davies is going out on loan to Wimbledon

Despite being sent off and having a serious head injury in a game, therefore missing a few matches, Rochdale are happy to extend Magnus Norman's loan until the end of the season. Well done him for some fine performances regardless of those set backs.

Looks like Elijah Adebayo is also returning home from his loan early - with Swindon.

Rob Atkinson has joined Conference side Braintree Town until the end of the season. The big 20 year old central defender came from Basingstoke last year with high hopes, which haven't exactly worked out. Not helped by him often playing for the U23s out of position.

He made his debut for Braintree at the weekend and, good to say, played well in their 0-0 draw with Halifax.

Also out at the weekend, Marek Rodak was at the end of Rotherham's thumping by Man City in the Cup. Watching the highlights it's safe to say there wasn't much Marek could do about the 7 that went in.

Others who didn't feature were Magnus Norman - back at Rochdale having extended his loan. He'll probably be glad to having been an unused sub at the weekend as Rochdale were humbled 4-0 at home to Burton. And Marcelo Djalo who was left out of Extremadura’s squad in their crucial 3-0 win over Alcorcon. The win lifts them out of the relegation zone in La Liga.2.

Meanwhile, Jon Dagur Thorsteinsson puts his feet up as the Danish Superliga has it's winter break.

On the Steve Humphries loan I believe he struggled and wasn't getting much game time in he end. The rumour is he may go back on loan to Lincoln.

Marek Rodak was heroic as ever but Rotherham went down 4-2 to Brentford.

    Rob Atkinson
helped Braintree to a 4-0 win over Barnet, Playing in a 5-man back four. And assisted by the opposition playing most of the game with 10 men.

Magnus Norman sat on the bench as Rochdale fought back to get a 1-1 draw against Fleetwood.

And abroad Rui Fonte (Lille) and Marcelo Djalo ( Extremadura) were both out of their respective squads. Lille won against Amiens and Extremadura lost to Oviedo.

Magnus Norman has been recalled from his loan at Rochdale. They say it's because we have an goalkeeper injury problem. If that is the case, it's presumably at U23 level where 17 year old George Wickens has ably been standing in of late.

    Meanwhile ...

U23 captain Aron Davies has gone on loan to National League side Maidstone and Elijah Adebayo to League 2 side Stevenage.

Looks like Marcelo Djalo's loan to Extremadura has ended early. He's played 12 games for them.

In fact the goalkeeper in question is Marcus Bettinelli. Apparently he has been nursing a knee injury for a few weeks and having now taken professional medical opinion, is going to have surgery.

    The caption says it -

Marek Rodak by contrast had a quiet afternoon - only having to make one save - and his side cantered home 0-0 at the Den.

'Cards Ahoy' for the debut boys this weekend.

Top spot goes to Elijah Adeboy for a straight red for an elbow late in debut game for Stevenage. They lost 2-0 to Tranmere. Stefan Johansen was a first half yellow in his debut for West Brom, who beat Stoke 1-0. And Abou Kamara coming on for the last half an hour in his debut with Malatyaspora also saw a yellow. The game against Konyaspor ended 1-1.

Marek Rodak was his usual competent self as Rotherham drew 1-1 at Wigan.

Our centre backs in the Conference League had mixed days. Aron Davies hit an own goal but was overall solid as Maidtone pulled that one back to draw 1-1 with Fylde. While Rob Atkinson's Braintree had an impressive 1-0 win away to Salford.

Rui Fonte was an unused sub in Lille's 2-0 win over Guingamp. And the Club still seem to be having trouble tracking down Marcelo Djalo who they reckon was left out of Extramedura's squad.

Bad day at the Office for most of the lads.

Aron Davies' Maidstone went down 2-0 at Bromley. Rob Atkinson's Braintree lost 2-1 at Eastleigh despite the home side going down to ten men. And Jon Dagur Thorsteinsson left his side with ten, getting sent off in the first half. Vendsyssel’s lost 3-0 to Horsens. Rui Fonte was an unused sub in Lille’s 0-0 draw with Montpellier and Abou Kamara wasn't included in Malatyaspor’s match day squad as they went down 2-1 at home to Besiktas.

On a slightly brighter note, Stefan Johansen got the last 5 minutes for West Brom in their huge 2-0 win at Villa Park. Both goals coming minutes before half time. Stefan is expected to start tonight v QPR.

And frustrating for Marek Rodak and Rotherham - an injury time equaliser by Sheffield Wednesday saw them pegged back to 2-2.

Elijah Adebayo is of course suspended after his red card and Marcelo Djalo is somewhere but nobody seems to know where !!

Only two of the lads were out at the weekend.

Marek Rodak was his magnificent self as Rotherham had a much needed 3-2 win over Blackburn Rovers. With Reading pulling off a 2-1 victory away at Ipswich through a 90 minute winner, the Millers stay 3rd bottom of the Championship. And boy do they have some tough fixtures over the next two weeks:

    Sheffield Utd (A)
    QPR (A)
    Norwich (H)

Well, maybe not the one in London !!

The other man playing was Jon Dagur Thorsteinsson, who keeps adding to his card tally - a yellow this time. However, he did get an assist in Vendsyssel’s 2-2 draw with Aarhus. Little bit of trivia from the game. Vendsyssel’s equaliser was scored in the 76th minute by none other than A Kamara. Can't be, can it ?

Among the 'outers', Stevie Humphrys is nursing a broken nose, when he scored, the week before and Elijah Adebayo is brooding over a suspension. The others are presumably just having a 'rest'.

Good turn out of lads this weekend.

Stefan Johansen scored inside 4 minutes but West Brom were pegged back by Ipswich and could only draw 1-1. Meaning they lost ground on the top lot and it turned out to be Darren Moore's last game in charge. And, as I'm sure everybody is aware, Slavisa Jokanovic in further talks with them today about taking over.

Disappointing but not really surprising for Marek Rodak and Rotherham as they went down 2-0 away to high flying Sheffield United.

Elijah Adebayo, back from suspension, came off the bench at home against Bury. In a scrappy second half the visitors snatched it in the 5th minute of injury time and went away 1-0 winners

In the Conference, Aron Davies and Maidstone had a comfortable 2-0 win over Havant & Waterlooville. Not so good for Rob Atkinson and Braintree as Harrogate put 4 past them. Both of our lad's teams are in serious relegation trouble.

Abroad, Jon Dagur Thorsteinssen was at it again, picking up another yellow card. His side, Vendsyssel, were left frustrated losing an injury time goal and only managing a 1-1 draw away to relegation rivals Vejle. Abou Kamara got himself a yellow as well after coming off the bench. But little else as Malatyaspor lost 2-0 to Sivasspor. Rui Fonte was an unused sub in Lille's 1-0 win over St Etienne. The victory establishes Lille's second place spot in Ligue 1 and 7 point cushion.

Could have been a better weekend for most.

Stefan Johansen was an exception with his assist giving manager-less West Brom the only goal and a win away to Brentford.

Marak Rodak was as ever in fine form but a spirited Rothermham lost at home 2-1 to table topping Norwich. The Milllers stay 1 point off getting out of the relegation zone in the Championship.

In the Conference, a solitary goal 5 minutes after half time saw Wrexham take all the points over Aron Davies' side Maidstone and it was 3 goals in the second half for Solihul Moors that did for Rob Atkinsons' Braintree.

Abroad, Rui Fonte came on as a second half sub for Lille. However, the visitors Monaco pulled off a surprise win with the only goal of the game in injury time. Those 3 points give Monaco a real boost for survival in Ligue 1 and while Lille stay in second place, their lead over Lyon is cut to 4 points.

Troubled Vendsyssel went down at home to a late winner from Nordsjaelland - the only goal of the game. The good news was that Jon Dagur Thorsteinsson didn't receive a card this week.

Not a bad weekend for our lads - at both ends of the tables.

All except Rotherham that is. Marek Rodak's took an absolute pounding 6-1 away to Derby. However, with Wigan and Millwall also losing. the Millers are still only one point away from climbing out of the relegation zone.

In the conference, both our lad's teams picked up points in their survival fight. Aron Davies played the entirety of Maidstone’s 2-2 draw with Harrogate and although Rob .Atkinson sat out the match, Braintree’s had a 2-0 win over Gateshead.

Abroad, Jón Dagur Thorsteinsson came off deep into added time as Vendsyssel fought out 3-3 draw with Hobro. The Danish Superliga now splits in half for play off and relegation phases Vendsyssel are very much in the bottom half.

Mean while away from relegation threat, West Brom put themselves very firmly in a play off spot, winning at home 3-2 over troubled Birmingham. Stefan Johansen sat this one out.

    Only one winner this weekend.

And that was Marek Rodak. His side Rotherham had a terrific win 2-1 over Nottingham Forest, taking them to within a point of safety in the Championship. Tough one tomorrow night against Villa though.

Stefan Johansen played the whole game, picking up his 'obligatory' yellow card, but his side surprising (?) went down 2-0 to Millwall at the Den Kind of ironically the Lions opener came from Ryan Tunnicliffe.

In the conference, Aron Davies and Rob Atkinson played against high flying sides and each lost. Maidstone went down 2-0 to Salford and Braintree 3-1 to Wrexham.

Abroad, Jon Dagur Thorsteinsson played for 75 minutes but in that time got an assist to help Vendsyssel get a 1-1 draw againd Randers. Abou Kamara reappeard (from injury ? although there are other rumours floating about ) for Malatyaspor. However they lost 3-0 to Galatasaray. And Rui Fonte dint make any kind of appearance for Lille in their 1-1 draw with Reims.

In his first game back after breaking his nose in several places, Stevie Humphrys this evening scored the winning goal against Sunderland and saved Southend from relegation.

    Well done him.

Meanwhile there's good and bad news about Marek Rodak. The bad news is that he'll miss Rotherham's final game of the season today 'cos he's got Mumps. The good news is we've turned down Rotherham's request to have him return on loan next season.

With Rico going back to Seville and Fabri being sold back to his old club, that would make our top two keepers Marcus and Marek. No complaints with that.
