Replica shirts do have one function though...cover up. Did you see that enormous Saints fan who stripped off his shirt...at least I think he was only one fan...he looked like he'd eaten Ricky Lambert! Please only remove your shirt and wave it above your head if you are Fonte or some other fit footballer (Danny Fox can keep his on).
I know it's sad for grown men to wear a football shirt, but it's what i've grown up with, so i'm going to keep doing it, it feels right for me. I have now outgrown buying a new shirt every year though.
I own several almost identical red and white striped shirts, so an all white one will at least make a change. I should have got the sponserless sash kit though D:
For the first time ever I own a Saints away shirt; 'twas an unexpected gift from the wife & very nice it is too - can't wait to wear it at St Marys next weekend It probably is tragic for grown ups to wear footie shirts, but I'm long past worrying about what anyone thinks I look like
I have Do Prado on my 125th anniversary home shirt, Schneiderlin on the back of the away shirt that season, Fonte last season, and Lallana this season. It makes the shirt more personal, harmless really.
I only ever get le tissier 7 on mine. Pays homage to the great man and you wont look stupid because he wont be sold in the next transfer window!
