With SL being given the managers role full time, Scally has said there may be a small amount of funds available for players in January, where would you spend this money? Theoretically the defence are better than last season, whilst we seem to be letting in fewer goals which is good, Holy has made more saves than any other keeper in all four divisions suggesting that our back line is still too open. Midfield seem to have little creative flare and no goal scoring threat (Parker aside, is he midfield or striker?), most successful teams will have goals from most areas of the pitch. Up front Eaves is our only danger player (Parker?) this makes the life of opposition defenders easy, crowd out Eaves and our goals dry up. If the funds are limited, where do you think they would best be spent?
According to Peter Lloyd ( on coach going to Walsall ) , the Centreplate court case was " favourable" to Gills --- we should have some reasonable funds - if Scally isn't holding back to pay JE and the USA courts !
Trouble is Centreplate are in the middle of being sold again, will the new company except the decision or start another court battle.
Now that Bingham is out long term and there still doesn't appear to be on Morris' return, perhaps one more option in the middle may be useful.
Would you like the really good news It was announced via 'The Caterer' on the 15th November 2017, so only five days ago, that Centreplate has been acquired by Sodexo for £512 Million Just remember where you heard this fantastic news first.
It appears the deal works out at $675 million dollars, first news break of the deal i could see which appears has been agreed by Sodexo was announced on the 14th Nov, Reuters along with many others then picked up the story on the 15th. Centreplate is currently owned by Olympus. Does anyone have any detail on our outcome of our court case involving Centreplate?
It would but it depends on how much the owners, previous, present or new want to drag their heels. This case has cost Scally a substantial amount of money, if whoever owns the catering company appeals, can Scally afford to continue with the case would be my question. Just hope we don't bust the club over this.
The new owners 'Buy' the legal decision as part of the package. New ownership is not relevant to previous events and legal decisions.
