No real way of knowing if they're real unless you know through a "proper" source. I know there was a fake Ian Holloway one a while back. I am however as certain as certain can be that all the ones Kev gave are real, with the possible exceptions of Gilmartin and Weimann. No reason to suspect they're fake, just don't know for certain that they're real. The ex-players Hornette has given are also definitely them.
i'm sure Gilmartin and Weimann are real, they banter with the others quite a lot, about stuff that has obviously happened in training or when the team are together...but you're right, it's difficult to know sometimes.
They all seem to use it without getting into trouble...unlike some of the higher profile Premiership footballers! Maybe its because our guys just have more sense?
Could also be because our players don't have so many followers- players like Rooney have 602k, where as someone like Sordell has 2k which means there are less people to disagree with the tweets made. A recent Troy Deeney tweet was: "This time nxt week me @Mr_Borough and other gang members will b drunk on the plane 2 marbz #madness", which I'm sure a Premier league football player wouldn't get away with!
Fair point..I agree our guys will have less profile but you'd think those who are would be more careful about what to write in public just incase it gets them into trouble. I guess Rooney was just hacked off with somebody annoying him and TBF Rio Fedinand seems to talk sense generally. On social networking sites there will always be few idiots trying to wind people up/make a name for themselves.
I think it is appaling that people use players personal twitter accounts to abuse them!! Fair enough give them a hard time on the pitch, i do my share of heckling but once they leave the pitch they are normal human beings with a normal life. Let them get on with it.
i agree with you BHD...he does seem to get far more than his fair share. It's very wrong.. but good on him for taking it and just getting on with it
