This. They're not stupid. They know that if we get European football we'll need replacements for those not good enough. I think we'll just bring in a striker in january, and everything else (defensive cover, players like Hoillet etc) will come in January

But yeah, reading a bit too much into it. If they WERE planning on selling big names, Tiote, Cabaye, Krul etc then he wouldn't let it slip that easily. They're shrewd.

 

I'm going to stick my neck out (this is a neck that has been slowly worn down by MA's reign) and state the following:

Collo to Liverpool(his new contract will command higher fee eg. Carroll) , Cabaye to Man City, Tiote Man Utd and Saylor to Spuds.

Just a cynical guess but if this MA reign has taught us anything, it's that the worst can happen.

Or maybe they're so shrewd that by letting this slip its reminding other clubs that all our players have a price without alerting the fans. Sneaky! Ha
