Don't agree with that at all. Toure was moving to his right as the ball was being put through the gap between him and the other defender on his left, so he corrected it by moving back towards the gap, slipped and managed a toe poke. If he hadn't of got to it, it could have ended as a goal anyway because the back line was already breached.
Johnson's pathetic attempt of trying to block the shot for the first goal. Skrtel's inability to follow up. Same old really. Not to mention Johnson completely f*cking up for the second goal as well. But never mind - Rodgers, please keep playing these two. The defence cannot cope without them.
And Toure was our best defender. He has been the best CB all season. Final point - Manquillo. This kid is special. Great defender and only 19. Really puts Johnson to shame.
Mankiller was our best defender and it's not even debatable IMO Toure played alright but he made a couple of howlers too. I would select him ahead of others purely based on his ability to talk.
Manquillo has been our best defender all season. We have to keep this lad beyond the 2 year loan. Which howlers are you referring to, the misplaced header near the halfway line? Can't think of anything else (possibly because I was half asleep!).
He was caught out of position a couple of times although you could see his attention was diverted looking after the others all game Mankiller has been our best defender this season so far but that's not really a compliment IMO. I'd like to see us keep him beyond the loan but not sure on the fit, it depends on whats happened to Flanno IMO. Mankiller and Flanno are both similar defend first type FBs, would we not want options?
