I think people who have slated Diaby were voicing their disappointment more than anything. His performances were sub-par for a long time, and it's hard to put that down to fitness, especially when he would start games badly and continue all the way through. Against Stoke he showed signs, but ultimately had a bad second half. Against Loserpool he was spectacular. With Arteta and Cazorla being solid performers we needed Diaby to step up, and he has. I was a "Diaby slater" for a while, but I'm bloody happy he's completed our midfield in this way!
Fair enough I can understand the frustration with Diaby, I just never liked the abuse he got. The bloke bascially had his ankle smashed by pub player Dan Smith and he really struggled with injuries since then. Credit to Wenger for sticking by him and showing him faith. It looks like he's about to be vindicated.
