I seriously would rather have no goalkeeper on the bench (he may have had room for Howard then) than have Weale come on like today. I had absolutely no confidence in him and he had no confidence in himself! Bamba would have caught it with 1 hand!
I know these things are said in jest, but with only 5 subs allowed and no real quality keeper cover, perhaps you're on to something! Bamba the keeper - legend!
Schlupp would have put the legwork in, and his speed would have had NF on the back foot. I don't see the critisism of Weale tbh, i think that he wouldnt have made it to the far post to keep out boatengs shot anyway.
It's not that. It is just that he has no idea how to play as a striker and absolutely no clue how to hold up the ball. He can't fit into our 4-1-2-1-2 formation.
I thought Weale fooked up. He gets caught under the ball because as the cross is coming over he takes a couple of steps forward, then realises it's going to the back post so flaps at it like an England flag attached to a Maestro. tbf though it's difficult for any player to come on as sub in a game. Same like Gallagher, I just think he struggled to get to pace with the game. I'd have Gallagher playing in Andy 'run around in little circles doing nowt' King position behind DN and DV.
Clearly you lot don't have the intelligence to come up with a reasonable argument against me. PS Schmeichel isn't as good as Lonergan. For starters, Lonergan doesn't kick the ball away like a little girl whenever he concedes.
All he had to do was move his feet, why flap? It should have been his but instead of shuffling across and timing his jump, he moved slowly, half jumped, and just threw his arms up hopefully and fell over. For me, that should have been a basic catch.
