with Davies, Chester and Figueroa at the back that's a pretty nippy back 3 or with Davies and Chester as CB's drop Fig to LB and Rosey to RB and it still looks capable. Faye, McShane are reasonable cover, Bruce will get a few bench appearances at best.
Hobbs has the same problem Wayne Brown had. Solid, reliable, good in the air and more. But slow as ****.
He's one of the best Championship centre backs. If he isn't good enough for the PL, then no one in our squad bar Chester is. It's not like the PL has never seen a big centre back who doesn't have pace. Stoke have an entire team full of big bastards who seem to be doing OK. If Hobbs needs replacing, then so do the rest of the team.
Wayne Brown played once in the prem, where he was left as a single man back from set pieces and got hit on the counter time after time, what do you expect him to do on his own? And Hobbs may not be the fastest but he's a Ferrari fxx in comparison to Wayne brown. You don't need to be fast as **** if you read the game well, stay calm, and make your tackles count when you commit to them, which is exactly what Jackory Hobbs does. How often do you see him make a mistake?
Getting rid of Jack Hobbs would be ludicrous. As PLT says, he's one of the best CBs in the Championship and should at least be given a chance in the PL. I'd like to see Davies come in but not if it means getting rid of Hobbs, who had a formidable partnership with Chester a year back.
