    Goalkeepers:

Krul: 9 - Can't think of many errors, and his ability at coming for crosses has massively improved
Elliot: 5 - Tough to judge as he's played behind James Perch, if Harper goes and Krul gets injured I'd be worried about playing him

    Defenders:
Simpson: 7 - Consistently okay, made some errors but two notable goal line clearances v Man U have been invaluable
Coloccini: 9 - Bets ball playing CB in the league, a true leader
Taylor: 8.5 - Put his body on the line for the team, and a great partnership with Colo. Slightly less than Colo as always liable to concede a pen
Williamson: 8 - Boy did we need him back. Excellent v Bolton and Man U. His form means we only need CB cover in January
Raylor: 7 - A couple of stunning goals, a couple of poor games. But playing in an unfamiliar position he's generally matched Simpson
Santon: 7 - He'll be a +8 come the end of the season, settling in well now he's establishing himself. Kept Nani quiet on Wednesday night
Perch: 6 - looked okay when coming on as sub in defensive midfield. An looked okay v Chelsea. But 4 v Rovers, 3 v Forest, 4 v Norwich when at CB

    Midfielders:
Obertan: 4 - Not good enough for the first XI at the minute. Bags of pace but no end product and no one expects him to do anything
Tiote: 7 - Indifferent at the start of the season, but some of his more recent performances have been amazing. More to come
Cabaye: 8.5 - The goals are starting to come, great technical ability, great shot, tough tackler. The complete midfielder
Gutierrez: 7.5 - Notable performances v Blackburn, Wolves and Stoke. Still a few too many indifferent games. But he has had to cover Raylor a lot
Guthrie: 8 - We didn't miss Tiote when he was in the team
Vuckic: 6.5 - Unlucky not to score v West Brom. He'll get more chances as the season progresses.
Abeid: 6.5 - Don't think either Vuckic or Abeid can be marked as high as Raylor or Simmo, but for their age and experience they've done well
Gosling: 5 - Very limited opportunities, ideally needs a few months on loan to rebuild match sharpness
Sammy: 5 - Too soon for him to be in the first team, needs a loan move to build up muscle, fitness, and decision making

    Attackers:
Ben Arfa: 6.5 - A couple of great goals, but still feeling his way back into the side. Needs to pick a pass more often. Potentially 8 or 9
Leon Best: 6 - Early season good (e.g. Fulham and Villa) but pretty poor lately. He seems to live offside. Think he'll be 7 by the end of the season
Shola: 6.5 - Sometimes great (Spurs and Man Utd) but can be incredibly frustrating at times
Lovenkrands: 5.5 - Got to be lower than Best and Shola due to lack of opportunities
Demba Ba: 9.5 - This bloke has the lot

    Overall: 8

Apart from the games where we lost most of our CB's, we've looked like a strong, solid unit. A top 8 finish is still on the cards, and that will represent a brilliant season. Hopefully we can get one or two in this month to consolidate our position.
