Hard to single any one out from the rest. Forrest`s form galvanised the team when it was needed most, though his form has dipped a little. Big Vic shored up the defence when it was struggling, Hooper`s goals and all round play, Brown, Charlie, both showing leadership, to name a few. Hard choice this season but at least the Manager of the season is an easy one.
Chuck Mulgrew for me. I remember him having one bad game. I would not be overly aggreived if Ledley won it or as an outside bet Adam Matthews has looked exceptional.
and thereby edge, as they are one and the same I just cant decide which one is jekyll and which one is hyde
Very nice to get a wee bit of fun for the huns and their mates, God knows it cannot be easy for the funs to raise a smile nowadays, as they will probably be vapourised in the liquidation before the season is out. The race for player of the year this season is obviously to close to call at this time, just looking at the excellent suggestions already made, nearly the whole team has been mentioned and I have no doubt many views will change before the end of the season. If I was going to nominate one name at this stage I would go for Charlie, but if he manages a run to the end of the season I might shift to Rogne.
As has been mentioned, the choice for player of the year is difficult but for me, at this point, it's Charlie Mulgrew just ahead of Joe Ledley. Charlie's consistently good performances in various positions, creative play and goals make him my choice.
