Its not been a great season in terms of quality and excitement.

  3. Its been a awful season. The only good bit is the the ongoing fight to avoid finishing in the top four!

I had originally had Suarez but will go for RVP. Top quality player and has played a big part in leading Utd to their 20th title.

Suarez wont get it so ill go with Bale. If there was a player of the year award for scoring the most offside goals in a season then Van Persie would win it hands down, 1 against West Ham and 3 last night, 4 in 2 games, crazy.

Why have the club stopped the campaign to get him the award?

  13. RvP has just gone through a barren spell but scored last week and then got a hat-trick to win the game that won the title. Nothing quite like right time is there <laugh>

Based purely on performance, I think Suarez should get it, but, like RH said, there was no chance before Sunday so he's certainly not going to get it now. People need to remember that other players cast votes and they all have an opinion. There is no way anyone can tell me that some of those players won't think "not voting for the cheating dirty Suarez"!

I was saying that Bale will win it but after getting he hat-trick last night, I think RvP might get it. Bale should get the young player one.

Like I said in the other thread, I'm 99% sure all voting took place in mid March, and they already know the winner. They just publicise the nominees now for publicity and to make it look like the whole thing wasn't sorted out over a month ago. So Suarez may still have a bite at the cherry.

P.S. Why is Carrick not in the poll? <wah>
