Don't forget Iago Aspas. Brilliant at Celta Vigo before Rodgers ruined him.

I had high hopes for Aspas, personally, because he was great in Spain. Shame he never got a look in except the odd 5min sub appearance. It's incredibly hard to force your way into a team or develop any consistency when your opportunities are so limited and sporadic.

Aspas is ****ing average. Celta Virgo were relegated the season he joined us, he was basically the older Spanish equivalent of Danny Ings.

We will end up with ings I bet. We will have more crap in our squad with another £60m or so wasted by Rodgers

I am shaking my heads at you lot

The fault is signing average player or actually journey men

Aspas..... That must be a wind up or else gang your heads... The first game he played you should all have seen exactly what he was

  7. He was being praised just like Voronin was after his first game. Friendlies can make players look like worldies.

Suppose it's always better to judge a guy on one/two games he occasionally gets rather than the full season he had the season before <ok>

I would definitely be keeping Manquillo - he's our best defensive full back, and by some distance. Criminal that he's being underused.

Manquillo is a cheap option if we have europa next year. Flanagan is shot and wisdom might also be option... so i think just make a call here.

Manquillo is not signed up he is in last year of loan when next season rolls in.

when you are judging the most anonymous waste of space ever to wear a LFC jersey on what he did in lfc jersey not what he did playing for a very small Spanish club at the bottom of the Spanish league YEAH!!! too right i'm right!

c'mon lads... seriously this is iago aspas we are talking about. he's not getting a game with us unless we are aiming to be west brom or worse watford.

My record of spotting a lemon is well known.

I got a kiss on the backside of talksrubbish on old 606 for calling n'gog n'dog after one reserve game.... he welched on his bet though...

My point is the average man in the street knows a top on and a crap one instantly. Ok in the middle where a guy like oh i dunno a player with a bit of talent who needs to grow into a role can take time fine ok... like manquillo we will see but FFS this is aspas we are talking about.

the lad is just a journeyman.

  14. Never argued against Aspas being ****, he is. But to claim he is the worst player to have ever wore a Liverpool shirt is somewhat different <laugh>

To be fair to Aspas, his record in La Liga is pretty tidy and it's not as if we spent £25m on him ...

Players I would look to sell because they have no future or place on the bench:

    Coates
    Jones
    Enrique
    Johnson
Lovren (recoup as much money as possible)
    Borini
    Lambert
    Flanno

Players who I want to get rid of but they have a space in the squad:

    Skrtel
    Lucas
    Lallana

Those are the fees in place to convert loans into permanents which are expected to go through this summer, except Assasdi who we already doubled our money on
