Mind over matter i think. Chelsea have managed to win a fair few trophies in the past decade with keeping largely the same team in place. What are you advocating then. Get a decent result on Saturday then 7 changes ??
If Meyler plays the first leg then you got to worry if he's there in the second leg,/Clucas/Livermore and Robertson all seem to decline a lot with two games close together. Dawson is often injured and I reckon there is a huge chance he can't handle two quick games at high intensity. The point is Bruce won't make wholesale changes so we might have to pray for the best in the second leg unless his hand is forced or hope we can get a great result at Derby
Most of the players I've spoken to have said they'd much rather play twice a week than train during the week and only play on a Saturday. They're professional athletes, I can understand resting them for the odd game if they're 37, or if they're just breaking through, but most of the players should be able to manage two games a week no problem.
I agree with this but our players seem not to be able to handle it and as Julian says it gives Bruce a ready made excuse
I dont think he'll play Meyler on Sat. Robbo a young bloke so should have plenty of energy. I think he may make 1 change max for Saturday. Its not even worth giving consideration to the 2nd leg team til after Saturday.
One last comment on this, maybe Derby will be knacked for the second leg so who knows it could even out the one time we need it to
Its the modern way to tell them they cant do it instead of can do. Football by OPTA/Pro Stats im affraid.
Well I couldn't buy my ticket online , no idea why not , selling online is great but there is no technical support or anything else I had to ring in the end , only on the phone about 20 minutes
@TheCurtisDavies A little tester in the cryotherapy chamber ahead of a big couple of games 30 secs at -60 and 2 mins at -140 ❄️☃
Yeah we're haven't taken into account how knackered Derby will be. It may come down to the freshest squad. We've played more games with both cup runs.
#hcafc have sold 2,200 of a 3,000 allocation for Derby on Saturday. General sale starts tomorrow. Details here hulldailymail.co.uk/tickets-sale-D…?
Fair one. I tried to buy my ticket through the ticket sales bit and thought my seat had been taken. Then I realised it was reserved for me. Daft, I know.
