Platini is quite simply a fruitcake. He has no idea how the game works, and as we all know is in it for the money.

It is such a sad situation that the people who run world football are only interested in money and corruption.

Maybe I am alone in my thinking on this board, but I really like the idea. My caveat would be that the 12 cities would have to be relatively near by i.e. cities from the Home Countries, France, Spain, Belgium, Sweeden and the Netherlands would be fine. You could even get rid of Spain if that is too far. Not only could fans drive or get the train to these places if they wanted, no new stadia would need to be built and there would be less pressure on one host nation.

I struggle to see much wrong with the plan...oh well..just me!

Ignoring the fact that he is a fat ****, I think there is some merit in the proposal. Using existing stadia and infrastructure can only save money, which is not a bad thing in these times. Football needs to change with the times, just like any other sport.

I think the whole point of his idea is that some countries who will never have the wherewithall to have twelve 30,000+ stadia, even in a joint bid would be included in the finals by hosting one or two games in their national stadium. An example being Ireland, Scotland and Wales who are looking at a joint bid in 2020. At present Scotland have four stadia that meet the criteria, Wales have one and Ireland have two, that includes stadia used for other sports.

The fact the tournament is being expanded to 24 countries shows that the quality of the football is the last thing they consider and this would suggest that the really big matches may be 'auctioned' off to the highest bidders. So a final in Moscow may be likely...
