That is how much confidence you have in our club then, just a flight of fancy for 1 season, can I ask are you just a fan of the club or a supporter?

Dragon I have been told tonight that the only tickets that will be available on match days will be in the west stand, all the east and south stands have been sold as season tickets ,some of the west stand have season tickets with a remaining 2000 in the west stand going for matchday sale. I have also been told that the away end will be narrowed to accomodate 2000 away fans in the north stand, due to segregation which will involve 500 seats (250 seats either side of the away fans) there will be room for 18000 swans fans to watch the team at home matches this season.

I think some people are taking this topic very personally, and quite frankly it's a very boring debate that won't be answered. Back on the topic though, i've got a real pet hate for people who "support" more than 1 club... It really annoys me going to the Swans and seeing people in Man Utd shirts, Liverpool shirts and even Ospreys shirts. Just never made sense to me. Did anybody see the little quotes in the EP (can't remember when, sorry) relating to Swans and "big games" next season. 2 of the 6 said something like "Well, I support both Liverpool and Swansea so that's going to be interesting."
Personally, this has been done to death now, and the situation can´t be changed so it´s getting pretty boring. I´m happy go lucky and loving the Swans at the moment but people keep trying to drag me down with doom and gloom about how "they wuz robbed" or whatever. If you didn´t get a season ticket, sorry, but tough luck... be happy for those who did.
the moral of the story is get your ST when they first come out and if you cant afford a ST then there is nothing the club can do about that. if you want one of the 2k match day tickets then find out when they are on sale and take your chance. that is all anyone can do at the end of the day...
As far as I know there's no rule to say you have to support the team you are buying the season ticket for. You might just like football and want to see Premier League matches. At Fulham they have an area for neutral supporters. Are you saying that only home and away fans are allowed at matches? That is pathetic. Anyone who wants to see a football match is entitled to go along, whoever they support.
I think seeing away matches won't be a problem, as long as you don't mind sitting with the home fans. I sat with Palace fans to watch Palace v Swans and it was fine. We even had a friendly chat with the Palace supporters.
The term plastic is a bit pathetic. People who don't go to many matches could just be casual supporters, like me. I would never buy a season ticket because I have other things in my life. When in the UK I used to go to about 10 matches a season and that is enough for me. Football isn't the be all and end all of my life. But I've been to matches in old Div 4 with 1,000 fans. So if Phil thinks I'm plastic, that's his choice. I think it's far better to encourage fans to support their club, including new fans. This attempt to divide fans into real and not real is pretty childish. So you're a real fan phil. I'm so happy for you. Get over it.
What is pathetic is people not giving a hoot that genuine Swans fans miss out on games because someone that likes football as a whole got there first. Would you be saying that if the 16,000 ST's were sold to non Swans supporters? Meaning that 16,000 true Jacks missed out, at the end of the day, the club gets their precious money!!!!
Obviously that can't happen because all the so-called 'real' fans would have bought the STs in March. Another thing is that I know some so-called 'real' fans who have bought STs for years but are actually Man U fans. So why have they been allowed to buy STs? You can't have it all ways. Getting a definition of a 'real' fan would be almost impossible. According to Phil's definition some new fans are plastic, but the only club they support is Swansea. But some so-called 'real' fans are still 'real' even though they support Man U. Just buying a ST seems to be his definition of 'real', So next season the Spurs fan will be a real fan. And the real fans that missed out on STs this year will be demoted to plastic fans. That's how pathetic all this debate is. Support your team instead of trying to divide the supporters. It's no wonder that Swansea's support has been historically low if this is the way that new and casual supporters get treated. You can pretend you#re real but people who attempt to divide support like this are not real supporters in my eyes.
try the 6th variety, i have never seen the Swans play bar on TV but i still supoport them and hope to see a Swans game in the nexy couple of years
The same could be said of the Man U supporters who buy Swansea season tickets. LOL. Anyway, nothing wrong with supporting a team and not seeing them play live. Most people would rather watch a play on TV than see it live. Same for 100s of other things. Nothing wrong with that at all. In fact, it's good for the so-called 'real' fans, because they have less competition for matchday tickets. And it makes the so-called 'real' fans feel even more 'real' if they have another category of fans to feel superior to. Think I will leave this forum. Far too many on here who seem to dislike fellow swans supporters. Don't really like all the negativity. Thought the forum would be fun, but it's not really.
casual, all ready planned on doing it this way. If I can't get tickets through the official route, I'll buy the home tickets. I actually enjoy sitting with the home fans for a good bit of banter and ribbing.
Casual, you are welcome to come and watch the swans as long as you are prepared to queue with everyone else and buy a match day ticket. every single supporter had the same opportunity to buy a ST and everybody will have the same opportunity to purchase a matchday ticket for the 2000 that are left.
Only once the ST' s have had the chance to buy some, after that they will go on generale sale if there are any left that is
