Fergie advised him, it didn't mean Moyes had to take that advice. Most managers bring there own back room staff, and I actually agree with Moyes for doing it, as it would have made him look like Fergies puppet, rather than brining in his own identity to the team
The point I was making, is that we never went as far as to fly a plane over the stadium waving a banner for 15 minutes in protest of the Glazers. The protest against Moyes just seems abit extreme if you ask me
The protest against Moyes is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. I now feel utterly detached from the club and it's support. It serves zero purpose and solves nothing, all it shows is that some 'fans' can take outrage to ridiculous extremes. They are complete ****wits.
He clearly did during the trophy presentation. he gave the impression he was leaving moyes with a great gfoundation. 3 months later the whole clubs is ****e and its all fergies fault. ok <OK>
You seriously believe that? As an outsider and neutral looking in, it appears to me you've got to be on some sort of wind-up. Why offer the guy a seven year contract then, surely everyone didn't automatically assume it was going to be a bed of roses. How naive, how plastic. So what your saying is you only support anything within your club if it is blessed in glory.
Name the fan(s) who gave him a SIX year contract. You will find most never wanted him, some were willing to wait and you will be hard pressed to find anyone else. As for older fans and younger fans. The plane is being organised by older fans is it not? Ones who have seen uniteds history with managers. Giving each time but a hit rate of 2 in terms of them being successful. 80% of all United managers are sacked. Nothing new here.
I'm not a premier league or man united fan, so i can't answer your question(s). I just say what i see as an outsider looking in and if you ain't on a wind-up, then your making a very good job of looking as though you are to a neutral...lol
Fergie Moyes I may have made the moyes quote up but the fergie one is real and from here http://www.manutd.com/en/News-And-F...-alex-ferguson-trophy-parade-speech-text.aspx So yes, yes he did say that.
Again agree with you totally KS, sorry UIR, whilst you are speaking for some of your fans you cant possibly speak for all of them, Moyes had a bad few years at Everton too, really think you need to give him time but it is just a personal opinion. The plane just looks wrong and will reflect badly on your club. My club has done stuff which we have all cringed at and I think this would join those ranks.
I really dont see the issue. Its just one way of protesting and its be9ing done because the OT stewards would take away banners brought into the ground.
Fair enough, i just think it seems a bit petulant but you guys are well entitled to your opinions. Think i have said before i do think Moyes needs to be allowed to create his own side - he will be up against a number of issues in that dressing room that we wont hear about and it will be very tough given that he has not won anywhere near as much as his team. That does beg the question was the decision made in the first place a correct one? I can remember how i felt about Hodgeson (who is the only LFC manager i have not backed ) so if you feel how i did about H with Moyes whilst i dont agree I get where you are coming from. But staying away from games and not buying merchandise is probably the best way to get through to your board.
It isn't the club. This doesn't rank with the T shirts. It's a group of supporters. A minority. I bet they were booing Ryan Giggs a few years back when he had a few poor games. Twats.
So shouldn't the fans then be protesting against the owners who instruct the stewards to do so....or is Moyes controlling the stewards too? If they were flying a banner over the ground protesting against the glazers I'd understand but not against the manager. Whether you admit it or not it reflects badly on united and more so on its supporters (or these particular supporters).
I can't open the link , you'll have to quote me the bit where he says Moyes has to retain the back room team.
I understand it not the club and there is a difference, but when other fans are picking up stones to throw this one will be right up there. Tbf i realise it way out of anyones control, when the press decide who they want out they tend to get their way, the only two managers in my lifetime in uk i have seen survive the media once they have turned is ferguson and wenger. There have been loads of occasions where hacks have attempted to oust both of those two and not succeeded, maybe because you always stuck together to create the siege mentality. I think you need a bit of that right now
To be honest, I always thought that United fans had more dignity than to do something like that, I'd be embarrassed if a group of fans of my tinpot club pulled off such a stunt.
TBF, £850 isn't that much for someone that has a bit of cash behind them. Whats to say its even Man Utd fans that have done it? Its embarrassing to Man Utd so someone else doing it as a wind up?
