    And the week is finally upon us, the start to the Premier league.. and the start to Liverpool's new campaign.

    After a long Summer filled with transfer rumours, signings, departures and mediocre friendlies, the real business finally gets under way when Liverpool travel to Stoke to compete for the first three points of the season, the fixture where they lost 6-1 in their last PL game.

    Both teams aren't without changes, with Liverpool boasting 7 new signings, two of which are Benteke and Firmino who are both up there with Carroll as Liverpool's most expensive transfers, both will be vying for a starting spot come Sunday. Liverpool finished sixth last season, stuttering across the line with a string of jittery unconvincing performances, and ultimately being pipped to fifth by Tottenham on the last day of the season. With a host of changes both in player and coaching staff, they will be looking to put last seasons misery aside from the off.

    Stoke City are also a different team, with Mark Hughes clearly trying to add a bit of flair to his team that have often in the past been labelled a more physical side, with Ibraham Affaley is one of the more well known signings. Stoke have well and truly cemented their status as a top flight team, and under the stewardship of Mark Hughes they seem to be going from strength to strength, and I'm sure will be challenging for one of the coveted European spots over the next few seasons. Stoke finished 9th last season, tallying 54 points, a record number for the club.​

    Can't see us having a good start to season. Too many new player with no experience in team against good opposition.

    Plus, I expect Benteke to start and I'm not expecting him to fit our tactics. (unless Rodgers changes tactics... And then we'll do badly at first because its a strategy we're not used to).

    I expect Stoke to win but picked a draw because I couldn't bring myself to vote for a stoke win.

    Stokes record defending crosses and set prices since Hughes has come in is shocking, worse than ours! Hopefully with benteke in the team we can take advantage of that.

    As long as we are all over them I don't care. We should be rip snorting... raging bulls... out for blood.

    Anything less and I want Rodgers strung up.

    1-6 is completely unacceptable and must be avenged
