Ron Vlaar
"Aston Villa and Ron Vlaar appear ready to part ways as the hulking Dutch defender believes that he is just too good for the FA Cup Runner-Ups. He said: “I want to maximise my career and I think I can go a step higher. I will look at it and go quietly,”
Well here we are Ron - we are actually two steps higher (15th to Aston Villa's 17th) but I think you will be able to cope with that extra step.

Ron Vlaar, Micah Richards, John Guidetti and Ryo Miyachi.

But I'll only accept all four as a package, plus NUFC have to agree to actually buy 6 first team players as well. No short cuts, fat ash.

Heard that Foluwashola fellah is sorely underated.

Problem with lists like this ..is the vision of Charnley rubbing his pudgy sweaty hands together at the thought all that overaged /barely talented / down right useless ..but all with that most important assett for a footballer player,... FREE ..footballing dregs..I mean talent

Vlarr and Richards .only resl stand outs

Brad friedel /Jussi or the banished and exiled Harps ..as back up GK/Coach if any of them qualified ..wouldn't be a bad thing in my eyes..unless some decent ish competition is brought in for krul and a new coach.

Vlaar is pretty obvious. Micah Richards. Guidetti worth a look. Brad Friedel (got to be better than Elliott) as backup/gk coach, unless Darlow is good enough.

No.

Vlaar hasn't really followed up last yrar on a very good World Cup.

M Richards not convinced he isn't injury prone and won't spend most of his time talking to Saylor in the "treatment" room.

Vlaar would be the only one to interest me as a player

Agree with looking at Harper as emergency keeper and developing him as a coach. Would put us in a better position than last year when we ended up with a kid in goal. I'm not sure Alnwick would have made it, but I think whoever our goalkeeping kids are we risk destroying their confidence and careers by putting a goalie in the same position we put Jak in this year.

Tremmel or Sorensen would make better back-ups than Elliot. Vlaar I would take, but I expect him to become a back-up for a decent side.

The rest are pretty ****.

Why Vlaar?
Injury prone, so I suppose he would fit in here...
