Most have been on here since @Hoddle Is A God "Mouser Watch Thread" plummeted...

A couple of things, Sky...

Firstly, it isn't my thread. Yes, I started it, but the thread is my gift to the internet. I think all of us normal fans can agreed that the mirror held up to Mouser delusion was much needed. Many have thanked me for it.

Secondly, I think the word plummeted is a bit harsh. Okay, it isn't frequented as often as it used to be, but I put that down to the thread having achieved its aim. In general, you Mousers have been far less deluded over the past couple of seasons, and I put that down, in large part, to the influence of my thread.

No, please! I don't want any gratitude. That I have been of service is reward enough for me. Thank you, anyway.

It plummeted, mate. We leave @SuckMyKlopp to battle alone, and he bats you all off quite easily (word on the street).

However, since those early 'wum-battles' which lets be totally honest, you Spuds didn't do very well, the wum-free policy was introduced and this board united us as football fans, and we've grown to share our delusions.

I think the one season (possibly even one game against Inter) you did ok in the CL, has really gone to the Spuds heads, luckily we've gone fairly easy on you all. Due to that one game, your heads have literally gone - Spurs fans are actually 'category 1'. Not a good category, that I can assure you of.

But like I said the wum-free policy, something I still follow and hold close to my heart, has certainly made this a safer place for you and yours to post.

Is that down to 'Mouser Watch'?

Possibly, but I'd say it was more likely down to the fact Bale and Modric left leaving you back where you were before 'Mouser Watch'.

I'm not going this week. I enjoyed it last week tbh.

Working all weekend instead <steam>
I did lead a good lesson last time and I am glad you enjoyed it Sky, you will be missed as you are topping the class at the moment my young Jihadi...:emoticon-0102-bigsm Don't worry I might even hold a class just for you....

I can certainly agree with you that the wum-free policy has worked a treat on that thread. I am really pleased to note that everyone had made strict observance of it.

My real concern, though, is that you Mousers will suffer a relapse in the unlikely event that 'Pool manage to finish above us, at any time over the next decade. This is why I believe it's a bit harsh to say that the Mouser Watch thread has plummeted; I would rather suggest that it is sleeping.

Do I have to bring my own rucksack mate?

In my experience, in terms of delusion, especially on Not606, we have definitely seen a shift towards Spurs fans being the most delusional, rather than Scousers.
Pool fans, these days, have learnt to manage their expectations fairly well (only took 25 years) to the point where a lot of them are realists now.
Spurs fans on the other hand, especially after last season, have gone into ****ing overdrive with their delusions.
I predicted 4th place for the Spuds, and thus far I am sticking with that, but I will be the first to admit that that is tenuous.

What, you mean on the basis that that is where - or thereabouts - we have tended to finish over the last several seasons?

Just because us Spurs fans have given voice to the fact that we, at long last, have the team and manager that we have all always craved, doesn't mean that we're deluded. It means simply that we are excited.

IMO
Redknapps CL Spurs team > Poch's CL Spurs team

You have no players of equal ability to Bale and Modric. Aaron Lennon wasn't bad back then either.

I do like Lamela though, [HASHTAG]#havehiminmyfantasyplteam[/HASHTAG]

Indeed Spurs expectations have morphed into Liverpools which is not surprising as they play like Newcastle and are run like a pawn shop.
