With 7 points out of 9 in their opening fixtures, the reds take on an inconsistent West Ham back at Anfield.

After two opening wins, Liverpool followed up with a hard earned draw away to Arsenal at the Emirates; A ground which has infamously been a bogey ground for the reds. With the inclusions of Lucas, Firmino and Can, the reds looked a different team compared to the two previous outings. The football was fast and direct in the first half, and if not for the wonderful performance of Peter Cech, Liverpool may of left with all three points. Brendan Rodgers had come under a lot of scrutiny the past six months, but the team selection, tactics and performance won't do him any harm in winning back his fans and silencing the critics. Though arguably, games at home against tricky physical teams like West Ham will be the true measure of our progress.

West Ham started the season superbly, winning 2-0 away to Arsenal. However, that has been followed by two consecutive defeats against teams they really should be beating if they want to push for a top half finish. It's still early doors in Bilic's reign, but his team need to do a lot more if he's going to win over the notoriously hard to please Hammer's fan base. Losing 4-3 to newly promoted Bournemouth, the Hammers cannot afford to make the same defensive errors against an increasingly improving Benteke and Coutinho.

Already 6 points and GD+8 better off than last season

If we can win this and get through the international break without injuries we then have an easy September to put a run together

This is a big test for us. It's one of those games that comes off the back of a good result, and all the hard work against Arsenal is negated if we don't win at home.

Stick with the same set up and we should have too much for West Ham. I would really consider Markovic in the squad now with no Lallana, and an under-pressure Ibe. Think the latter could benefit from being out of the spotlight for a week or two.

I think this is a bit previous... can't we bask in the majesty of a glorious 0-0 for one more day?

I think we'll turn this lot over.

I think they have a lot of work to do with thier new manager and this is a good time to have a right do at them

My view is coutinho must remain wide left. there is no reason to take firmino out and really the only question is henderson fitness.

West Ham will look to be physical so no changes for me keep the 3 in midfield and compete for everything, we should then have too much for them up top.

On current form it should be an easy win for us.

The Hammers for some reason played well away to Arsenal and then flunked both follwoing matches at home. Let's hope they are not one of those teams that play much better away. That first unexpected win at a big club must have induced some complacency.

Sticking with the current formation and giving Firmino more play time should be the idea. Benteke should have more joy at home.

    3-1 to us.

i think its natural for a side with a new manager to be up and down.... they seem quite.... unsure of themselves right now.

Really i think we need to be in their face and den them the platform to play on.

I actually listened to the commentary on 5 Live. There were some very encouraging signs last night, particularly in the first half. Top 4 is a must if we're to have any chance of holding onto Couths. We really should be winning this <ok>
