So Springsteen, I'm not a fan but occasionally a song gets me, usually a more acoustic track like The River and I also like covers of his songs more than the original (see Eddie Berman Dancing in the Dark for details).
I then stumble upon the track I posted and then the album Nebraska and it's ****ing brilliant. Striped back old folk style sounds love it.

I went to listen to it earlier, but didn't have my ear phones in at the time, so sort of gave up on it, but went back and listened to it tonight with the headset, makes a lot of difference if you give something a bit of time and listen to it right. One of those songs you got to tune into, go deeper than usual. The harmonic helps with the phrasing of it, so your brain can come in and out of the song. Throughout I did think (as I always do) that it sounds like another song, but a faster version - and reread what you wrote and you had already pre-empted me and given the answer. I can see why you like it. Nebraska is like the Waitrose version, where Dancing in the Dark is more your ASDA choice.
