Managed to get a couple of tickets for her show in Cardiff next year, now it's a fight to see who goes with the daughter, think the Mrs will win this one, hotel booked for a couple of nights too, so I'll probably end up in the pub flying solo on the gig night.

Enjoyed that, listened to it several times, loved the bit around 3.02 where his index finger was on the A string going 7, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16 sounds like something the Cure would do, Just Like Heaven as an example but that would be on the B string and an even wider range. Remembering though your guy is doing it on acoustic not electric so much harder. Thought those listening could have shown a bit more appreciation.

I'm not so sure I'd go live as there's still that pop element that she should bin off imo, great artist and songwriter but for some reason she wants to hang on to that pop label well I suppose it's where the money is. Since NFR she's been consistently good but never hitting those highs again.

Tbh, it's the diva part of her make-up that let me give up the ticket so easily, but she's made some great music.

Del Amitri last night, Justin Currie is a great song writer and genuinely seems a nice bloke, poor ****er has Parkinsons and it is showing when he stops playing, right hand really has the shakes, voice as good as ever.

Excellent tune, once I got a decent ear piece to listen to it through. What the hell does that remind me of though from 60 seconds in....going to bug me again lol.

It's ok @luvgonzo I finally got it...I was thinking Rod Stewart...and what did he and Stereophonics do....Handbags and Gladrags.

He played the album live on iPlayer, not sure if it's available everywhere. But worth a search on BBC iPlayer, if it's there it's well worth a listen..
