I'm all over the shop at the moment, but it's how I digest stuff, another video to go with the one above. Love the way the guy explains, not only to do something but why and the relevant scales...

A very, very quick excert into some theory for exploring the song...

So if you've not worked out by now it's in the key of D Minor, I give up lol - and the common chord progression of Spanish flamenco (triad video), which I hadn't even given it a athought too!

Dickey Betts scale in key of E, listen to the first 60 seconds in the video below, if you were to look up the Allman Brothers, you get to see his work, songs such as Sail Away, Blue Sky etc...

Great track.

So much going on in that song, my head is swilling with about two or three other songs.

It's funny really because when I learn songs, I go through a process stage of oh yeah that bit is part of the riff of such and such band, and that one is another artist - just what I use as a memory tool.

I've listened to that three times now, fook off Luv. <laugh>

Seen Devon Allman (Greg's son) a few times, very decent.
Got tickets for The Allman Betts tour, Devon and Dickie's son, but got cancelled due to covid, should have been a decent night.
