stan was addlestone, right next door. i moved from addlestone to chertsey.

edit, stan was more woking way, but was doing up a house in addlestone.

I spent a year living in a caravan in Addlestone, when I was a teenager!! That's why I used to go the Chertsey Lock.

Was working on a motorway widening scheme by the way, I wasn't a pikey or owt. Honest.

Not really into that new thrash metal stuff, it seems very polished. I liked Wait and Bleed by Slipknot but other than that it's a genre that is passing me by. I was a big fan of Metallica, Slayer, Bolt Thrower and many other of the original thrash metal bands but just can't seem to get my head around the new stuff.

I like a fair amount of newer metalcore, there's some very interesting bands around who are quite innovative, lot of garbage and meh stuff too. It's different to the now classic bands like you mention for sure, more based around production and exploiting very modern gear maybe, but the good stuff still has impact and hits home. I prefer previous Architects albums to this new one, they're moving in a more audience friendly and accessible direction but they're doing it in a good way which is something I guess

They're really bad for it, my parents would go nuts at me for blasting tunes but they never do it.

yeah I was definately a lot louder than he is...they used to earphone volume...grown up with one stuck in their ear, unlike us...we had midi hi fi’s, cassette players and other things with big **** off speakers
