Gonna watch O brother where art thou later. One of my favourite films. The Coen brothers are total genius.

Anyway, O Brother also has one of the best film scores going. Lot's to choose from, but this Skip James cover is right up there. <ok>

Yes great film based on Homers Odyssey, my fave track is I'll Fly Away by Alison Krauss and Gillian Welch

I would also suggest Morricone & John Barry as being right up there too.
Morricone yes but it's the same stuff all the time. I mean more like when the film makers pick a soundtrack more than composers. With both Tarantino and Coens I'm either wow forgot about that track or what's that? They also have a great way of making the music fit.
 
No I haven't read it but I'm aware of a lot of the stories from films and things I've read. Can't imagine it's any good though?

I haven't read it. I read some of the Iliad when I was a student, but got bogged down it so I tried to read Joyce's Finnegan's Wake instead <laugh>
