I'm trying to think why the strings are upside down but still a right handed player.

I had to look this up, I knew it was done for left handed players, but what's happening here is string inversion, so it's not being played upside down as such, it's just the strings are set that way. There are other videos that explain this, but it's done to show what it's like playing a guitar upside down, and that wasn't my query...
